on december 16th and 17th we played two shows at the shepherds bush empire in london
the main aim of these shows was to play to all our european fans who had been a bit 'left out' in '97...
as you know we did quite a lot of playing last year for a non-touring year(!) but all the shows were in america
so over a couple of beers in a london pub before a t.v. show a plan was hatched...

do a small show in london specifically for fans, advertise it mainly on the internet
and donate a percentage of the show to shelter (a british charity for the homeless)...

as it turned out we did two shows, the second of which was recorded
for worldwide radio distribution by the bbc and london broadcast by xfm...
they were fantastic shows(!) and we saw lots of familiar faces from all over europe...
