It's the NME life time acheivment award, not something dreamt up by the band. Irt doesn't even say which God, it may be some quite minor deity

god-like genius????

don't get me wrong- i love The Cure, but, ummm... ok, nice to be recognised for one's efforts, but "godlike" carries it a bit far. for fuck's sake- they are just PEOPLE. *wonders if Robert and the boys find all the ass-kissing and worship just plain oooky*

IS FOR SURE THAT HE WILL KNOW ABOUT IT, AND IS FOR SURE THAT HE WILL AT LEAST SAY THAT HE IS FUCKED UP ABOUT IT TOO, DONT YOU THINK? I MEAN HE ALWAYS TRIES TO GET COMUNICATION WITH PEOPLE HERE. DONT WORRY U ALL!!! JUST WAIT A BIT MORE :)

As monumentally fucked off as I am by this...

Robert can't be expected to wade in and magically solve the economic crisis... Even if he did exchange strong words with whoever messed up here he might not be able to do anything... Don't stake your love of this band on something they didn't cause...get cross because we get one gig a year, get cross because you lost money in the US tour postponement fiasco...this is different...

tix rip off

Something ought to be done...afterall it is the cure fans who buy the pre-tix (surely thats the point? to look after your true fan base?) and its the pre-tix fans that are affected........... Perhaps a demonstration march with the tooting popular front wouldnt be so bad?!!!!!!!! I point blank refuse to re-purchase the tix that ive lost, NME can fuck off if they think they can rip me off twice...... and the cure covers edition is out next week?....i was looking forward to it....but not one penny goes to NME/The cure until this shit is resolved! POWER TO THE PEOPLE!
