BIG GIG TICKETS AND TRINITY STREET

TRINITY STREET ('TOTAL MUSIC MARKETING') HAS GONE BUST...

THIS HAS AFFECTED THE CURE ONLINE STORE

AND ALSO, MORE PRESSINGLY, A LARGE NUMBER OF PRESOLD TICKETS TO THE NME BIG GIG HAPPENING NEXT THURSDAY

I WAS SENT THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT YESTERDAY NIGHT

Due to circumstances beyondour control, Trinity Street, a company responsible for a limited pre-sell ofNME Big Gig tickets, has ceased trading without any warning. This affects around500 people who made a Big Gig purchase via Trinity Street.

Unfortunately, TrinityStreet did not despatch these tickets nor account for any of the ticket moneyfrom these sales to AEG Live, who are the promoter of the Big Gig. TrinityStreet is now in the hands of an administrator.

Big Gig is just one of anumber of high profile events affected by Trinity Street’s circumstances. Sincewe became aware of the situation, we at NME have worked with AEG Live tocommunicate directly with those affected. We have done our very best to supportthem by either offering complimentary seated tickets or the opportunity topurchase new standing tickets. And we have provided them with the informationnecessary to make a claim for a refund from either their credit card company orTrinity Street’s administrators.

If you bought Big Gig ticketsfrom another official ticketing agency then we would like to stress that youare not affected by this news. For anyone who has already received tickets, these are completely valid. If you have recently ordered tickets from any officialagency other than Trinity Street then these will be with you shortly and againare completely valid.

Finally, we apologise to allthose people affected for these circumstances, which are unfortunately beyond thecontrol of both NME and AEG Live.

I HAVE BEEN PRESSING ALL PARTIES TO BE SYMPATHETIC, PROACTIVE AND TIMELY IN EFFECTING A BETTER SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM THAN "BUY WHAT SEATS ARE REMAINING AND HOPE YOU GET A REFUND ON YOUR ORIGINAL PURCHASE", BUT HAVE BEEN TOLD IT IS PROVING "VERY DIFFICULT" TO TRACK DOWN THE DETAILS OF THE APPROXIMATELY 500 TICKETS THAT ARE AFFECTED IN THE "FROZEN" TRINITY STREET DATABASE...

I WILL KEEP ON IT AND LET YOU NOW HOW I GET ON...

wishfulthinkings

in the "statement" they say no sig is required so hope you don't get burgled!..for those overseas they could use their imaginations and take some account with the posting as to whether they are realistically going to be received. They are now doing a great job and it is all of our unique experience which we ALL want to get sorted...tears and cries of sadness will still and have have already been felt but we are climbing up the mountain - o

BREAKING NEWS - Check the link below - Nice One Robert

http://www.nme.com/news/shockwaves-nme-awards-2008-big-gig/42904 Shame it took Robert's intervention to get the NME to do something.

So...what happens if the ticket doesn't arrive now

I'm a little concerned that posting on Monday is just a little late. If the ticket now needs 'signed for' I may need to take Wednesday off work to ensure I'm in because if I miss the post and they are returned to the sorting office I will not have time to pick up the tickets prior to getting my flight on Thursday morning. What about people from outside the UK who are effected?

I'm so happy I could scream, 'cause there's nowhere else in the world I'd rather be....

Thank you so much Robert for all your help!!! And thank you to everyone else who I have not already thanked on Vinny's blog :) (http://www.vinnypiana.co.uk/?p=148#comment-202) I'm so pleased we stuck together and did it!!! It's a shame we had to put in so much effort to make all three companies involved realise we knew they were all equally in the wrong and make them own up to it. It has been a great team effort from everyone!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We're gonna have the best time at the gig now as we've put so much effort and dedication to be there! See you all Thursday Angela (the mouthy one hehe)

Hip hip hooray!

jUST HAD THIS EMAIL Following your enquiry direct to NME, we are extremely pleased to inform you that AEG Live are now in the process of making a settlement agreement with Trinity Street, the providers of your pre-sale tickets, that will allow the original purchase of your Big Gig tickets to remain valid. These tickets will be despatched to you on Monday, by registered post. Please note that they will need to be signed for upon delivery. If you have already re-purchased tickets via the link and password that was supplied to you, you will automatically have these tickets cancelled and your repurchase monies refunded to you in full, including all transaction fees. If you purchased replacement tickets via any other source, or direct to the Ticketmaster site, please contact enquiries@aeglive.co.uk with your purchase details and they will arrange to have these refunded. If you requested complimentary tickets this order will now be cancelled as your original tickets are on their way to you.* We would like to take this opportunity to offer our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience that you have experienced. The unexpected demise of Trinity Street so close to the gig and the resultant financial issues led us to initiate a re-purchase and refund process. However NME and AEG Live have been working non-stop to find a resolution and we are pleased to be able to end the week with this great news. So please do look forward to receiving your tickets and of course we hope that you enjoy the Big Gig itself. See you on Thursday! NME and AEG Live
