Excelente album ;) al principio no me habia parecido bueno, pero cuando lo me dedique a escucharlo me di cuenta de lo perfecto que es :D
Freakshow is my ringtone!! Love that song! Who am I kidding, I love all their songs !! Thank you Robert for writing great music! It's helped me so much in my life! I'll love you forever!! Keep on going!
Brilliant! All that makes R.Smith and "The Cure" great! Thank you for what you are doing and for what you have in this crazy world.

Yeah...its the cure, the good like genius 2009-??? this cd is one of the best that you have just like the old days with: DISINTEGRATION, PORNAGRAPHY, WISH AND KISS ME, KISS ME, KISS ME...I LOVE IT
Just read the remarks from this thread. I am disappointed in those fans who "dog" this album, comparing it to previous Cure works and saying it doesn't "measure up." If you are truly a fan, you know the layers of sound, the layers of emotion and the layers of thought the music of The Cure imparts. You may not have heard a song enough to appreciate it yet (and you may never get there) but each album of the Cure sets a tone. Listen again. I was looking at all the albums I own of this favorite band of mine. I have a memory of what I was doing to most of them. Just like Heaven--won a dance contest in college- paid the rent. Pictures of You--reading the lyrics in some stupid support group. (I was just alone in a new city) Song helped me get a grip. Never went back to the support group. I was "Cured" Halo- first dance at my wedding, Mint car--last song last run skiing for years. I played the Cure during my pregnancy, kid came out grooving when she heard the Cure. Boys Don't Cry--used everytime I needed to suck it up. This. Here and now. With You. C'mon. (Imagine kissing a stranger) Bloodflowers--listened to it this morning while gardening. O BTY Junior Jack "da Hype" with Robert Smith is my black diamond mogul ski run song when in Taos, NM. Put simply: The Cure is my cure. Truly a Cure
I read some really negative reviews about this album but I don't know what people are talking about really. Sure it's no Disintegration but I don't really think thats what they were going for here to be honest. People bemoan the "silly" Freakshow and complain that Underneath the Stars is a 'typical' Cure song...Well duh! They are the Cure and I think this is a pretty good comeback record. It takes time for new songs to enter the system and become as well known as tracks we've had for 10 or 20 years (or even 30;). A really liked this album.
4:13 Dream is by far a refreshing album from The Cure. It is not the best, but I don't believe that's what they were aspiring to do. They just wanted to make a good and unique album which it is. It takes off in a slight departure from the last album returning us to familiar sounds. Underneath The Stars is a triumphant intro on par with the likes of The Kiss, One Hundred Years, and Plainsong. The Only One is a classic Cure single. One song that grew on me was The Real Snow White. Other highlights are Freakshow, Sirensong, The Perfect Boy, and my personal favorite This. Here and Now.With You. Some songs like Switch and It's Over don't impress me too much. Overall I love the album and listen to it mostly everyday. My only gripes are I wished it sound more polished and clear. I wish I could hear more vocals instead of guitar distortions, and yes I do wonder how better it would be with keyboards. I do miss them. I also wish they made official videos for the singles. I hardly hear any airplay of the songs, and that's unfortunate. This album reminds me most of Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me and Wish. It is a very upbeat album, without any depressing songs on it. I am looking forward to the Dark Album. Good job boys. I love The Cure!
: http://www.myspace.com/imatem ... I love this Keyboards and this logycs words ... Bien Gothement Didier
Bien Gothement

I love this album and I can't stop listening to it!!! This is a masterpiece. I'm absolutely crazy about the last two songs, The Scream and It's Over, the best songs of the album in my opinion. My 6 year-old son loves Freakshow and we dance it together Pulp Fiction style, hahahaha!! I've been listening to The Cure since I was 12 and I'm 36 now. Aaahhh, so many memories ...
The first song I listened from the band was Close to Me and I remember that the video blew me away! Robert, I used to have a HUGE crush on you - who didn't, right? Thank you so much for
this amazing album, I can't wait for the second part! Please play in New York again in 2009!!!!
Love the new album! You can never get bored with The Cure. Every song is a different emotion, each stirring up a unique image. Love you guys! Can't wait to see you in the States in 2009!
This album is very good, but I expect nothing less from such a brilliant composer and tight band like The Cure. I've been a die hard fan for 15 years (since high school) and was even lucky enough to go on tour with you guys on the Dream tour in 2000. That said, as good as the album is, it doesn't make my hair on the back of my neck stand on end like the classics that I absolutely worship (charlotte sometimes, faith, sinking, same deep water as you, if only tonight, etc). I've been thinking long and hard on what it could be, and all I can come to is the haunting atmospheres that were so unique to the Cure have all but gone away. The most recent song that even comes close is This Morning, so its not necessarily the fact that there's no longer an emphasis on keys. To end, I like the new album, but when I dare to dream, the ghostly empty songs are the ones that fill my heart.
In some senses, 4:13 Dream picks up where the self-titled album left off, evolving forward, but at the same time, it brings back a lot of the familiar sounds we've missed in the last album; this is a perfect fusion of the newer and older styles, with the courage to continue experimentation. The album opens with "Under the Stars," and the emotional impact is felt immediately. Imagine the climax reached with Disintegration or Bloodflowers, but getting thrown there instantly in just under fifteen seconds. That got my attention. It's a tall order to expect the rest of the album to live up to their best, but it holds its own next to other great ones like Wish or Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me. It has variety and experimentation, and it blends in what many of us felt we were missing with the last album to keep us happy while our brains catch up. And, once again, The Cure wads up and hurls out the window the formulas about how albums "are supposed" to be organized, breaking from the traditional hard rock start, ballad at the end of the first side, and all the dull songs on the second side, instead opting for another excellent and original arrangement.
This album is is fantastic after a long wait we have got more then we ever wanted...
Hi, I'm Franco of Argentina. The cure... make cry, make my feel happy... Robert: voice-soul-heart... this album is my wish once WISH. Cure is the cure for my fuckin's days in this place, in this country, in this world. Sublime. Please, come to play in Argentina. I need a cure for my tired heart. Thank's for this great album. -my tears/my cure- Franco.
Is Geffen ready to sign a racist bitch? If you do, I will never spend another penny on anything with the Geffen label!
This new album is very very very, i like so much. This album is different, i can´t explain, it´s brilhant. I buy my disc here in Brasil. To only thing that leaves me sad is you will do me expect for your marvelous show, is not going to die me without watch to the show of you. = ( Rodrigo Jean Rosa
Dear Robert, you've created the new WISH album and I thank you for this..."The hungry ghost" is pure adrenaline !!! 10 and praise !!!
I am a plastic surgeon and have listened to the Cure for many years in surgery after first hearing Letter to Elise. Your music has gotten me through some very rough times...thank you so much! I always ask new employees "who is Robert Smith?" I found in one of them another great fan. I bought her and I tickets in the third row center in Chicago of the last tour. She told me it was the best day of her life! Nice work to be able to give that gift. (We were stunned by Porl's playing!) This last album seems to be a progression of a relationship, start to finish...or is it just me?
Portuguese: Oi, meu nome é Emerson, tenho 34 anos e moro no Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. O novo cd é muito bom ! Algum previsão da tour vir a America do Sul, mas precisamente ao Brasil em 2009 ? English: Hi, my name is Emerson, got 34 years and live in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The new CD is very good! Some predict the coming tour to South America, but precisely to Brazil in 2009?
First thanks for what really is a great album, it was worth the wait. Porl certainly has brought a new dynamic to the material and the song writing is much stronger than on the last album. Infact as many of the reviews have said this is probably the best work since Wish. My only quibble is with teh track Switch which really does nothing for me personally, lyrically it's all been said before and musically I feel this should have been one of the bsides to the singles with either NY trip or All kinds of stuff promoted in it's place. If you'd of put one of them on and pushed freakshow after snow white in the track listing it would've been almost perfect. But that's it ...moan over congratualtions on a fine piece of work and I look forward to the dark second half 4:14 Nightmare.
Listen to it first time.... loved it at once. A truly great new album where I manage to feel again The Cure sensation !

Great work. I am tuning people to Cure fans. My 19 year old son is connecting. When will the tour be back is the US/ Hollywood Bowl great venue/great band RCX
Hello Robert Smith. You and your band's work is true genius. I've been a fan since April of '06 and have bought all your albums and then some on CD. Just now listening to "4:13 Dream" and it's good. I know you had an ambitious double album in plan which had to be split in half. Can't wait for the second half. Suggestion, release it next year if possible?
I can´t help but looking back to the days of early eighties. Had to say that in those days I couldn´t do anything but keep my eyes open for the next album as soon as I have bought the newest. Well, that´s not how it´s like today. Sorry to say...
Good work guys. The mixing/production isn't the best, too loud for my liking and hurts my ears. But the songs themselves are great. The lyrics are wonderful and you guys haven't slowed down yet. I'm glad you didn't get electro and didn't sell out. The Cure forever!!! xx
You are the best! When I listen to Your songs, I get out of my world and I start to dream. I feel peace inside me. You are really a genious, Robert! Keep going with the good work!!!
Grande musica, grandi testi, grande Robert!!! "I will always love you" Ciao Lucia
This is a very good album. Very guitar-driven but still melodic, the absence of keyboards is even a good move. This is simply how the Cure began, guitar, bass and drums. Robert Smith is encouraged to go this way although many diehard-fans don't like it. But as I always say: if diehards don't like something from their band it must be a good work. True art doesn't stick in cliches, frames and comparisons. I hope Robert won't be discouraged by bad sales or harsh comments. This is The Cure at its best! If you want to hear always the same then listen to Depeche Mode.
Definitely better overall than the last album, but definitely no "Bloodflowers." It's growing on me though, and I LOVE at least half of the album. I can't wait for them to tour again! The first half is good but the second half of the album isn't so hot. Is this really the best of 33 songs? Hopefully there's more to come on the "Dark" album? LOVE the Cure...my #1 favorite band of all time! I have ALL their stuff...here's to more!!!!

I have a massive collection of limited edition vinyl discs and almost everything 'The Cure' have ever done, including Robert's work with Siouxsie and 'The Glove' but the last two albums have been dreadful. The days of 'Disintegration' are a long distant memory. This '4:13 Dream' album will be long forgotten in a matter of minutes. There is nothing worth listening to and Robert is so repetitive with the lyrics that it is clear to see he is tired of all this. I'm so sorry to say that I am one very disappointed Cure fan who passed his English literature degree using 'How beautiful you are' as the base of his final project.
i juast wait that this time the cure come to colombia, heree we are waiting for years ttaht moment. thanks a robert for all the good music jairo
This song really stood out the minute I heard it. My usual routine with new albums is to slowly savor each song at different times rather than listen to the entire album in one sitting (that way I can stretch out the enjoyment of it - and have something to look forward to multiple times!). I haven’t gotten to all the tracks yet. Call me crazy but this song reminds me of folk/country music. I’m not much of a fan of either of these two genres, but I can’t seem to get enough of Sirensong! This is what I like so much about The Cure, the way Robert is able to draw on so many different styles and genres in a way that’s completely unexpected but still preserves the band’s essential sound. For some strange reason this song really reminds me of Mazzy Star’s “Fade Into You." It could be my imagination but I listened to both songs back to back and to my amazement there seemed to be some slight similarities between the two, not lyrically but in terms of the overall sound. One thing I thought was interesting was the juxtaposition of Freakshow and Sirensong. It’s may be a bit jarring for some as they sound so completely different. Then again, I suppose it could work depending on one’s mood as they’re listening to the album.
Let me tell you that I cannot overstress how much I HATE to leave my home on a day I have to work before work. But today, I made the exception. I made myself get up and go to score my copy of 4:13 Dream. It was the LAST one they had.
Excellent !!!!!!.... now the only thing I hope is to have the opportunity to listen in Chile as soon as possible!!!! UN ABRAZO Y FUERZA!!!!!!!!!!!
ME EMOCIONA ESTE DISCO SUS CANCIONES DESDE SU INICIO HASTA EL FINAL. TIENE MUCHA FUERZA. ME ENCANTA REALMENTE. POR FAVOR PRESENTARLO EN VIVO EN ARGENTINA. SON UNOS GENIOS LOS MEJORES.-
The new album is FANTASTIC! It sounds really COOL! Thank you very much, Robert, Simon, Porl and Jason! All the best wishes to you! Let success crown all your further undertakings!!!
Why not post the link to the album on Rhapsody? http://www.rhapsody.com/thecure/413dream
There was a Mathieu in the band a very long time ago, in fact when I first discovered the Cure...but there hasn't been any such person since. I think you meant Jason Cooper, the fine drummer of the current lineup.
Robert, Simon, Matthew and Porl Extravagantly Surreal Movement of Muse and Artistry that strikes the Marrow of Bones and Heart. I awaited this album and after purchasing all the singles and more, THE CURE fulfilled the void. As a fan, there is Never Enough of THE CURE. Truly +HALO+
Kudos to my favorite band for giving us a new collection of great tunes. Ever since it was announced Porl Thompson had rejoined The Cure, my excitement was mounting for this release. We had a taste of what was to come in the recent 4-Tour, but even this did not prepare me for the delight that has come with 4:13 Dream. My only regret for this collection is that Boy I Never Knew wasn't included. It was touching to see this performed live in the European shows and I hope that this very personal song will some day make it to commercial release. Well, now we can anticipate the "Dark Album" that will appear maybe someday? Hoping we get another tour next year and wishing all the band the very best. THANK YOU ROBERT, SIMON, JASON and PORL!

Love underneath the stars lyric, its wonderful
