One imaginary apology: due to an unfortunate combination of circumstances the first copies of the 2 CD 'Three Imaginary Boys Deluxe Edition' were accompanied by a 16 page booklet missing the song words... All later deluxe editions will be accompanied by a 20 page booklet including the song words... I saved money for months to buy this album but the version that i have, dont have the lyrics.... and i cant download the pdf.... please.... upload it!!!
Debut
I never really did like Three Imaginary Boys and after reading that Robert didn't like the way it was released either it makes me dislike it even more. There are some good songs on here though, Cure classics such as 10:15 and Fire in Cairo. It just seems odd, even though we know the reason why the Producers would give such tracks as Meathook and the awful cover of Foxy Lady a place on the album when anthems like Boys Don't Cry and such weren't? Odd decisions indeed. The second disc is far better on this occasion than the original album. 20! Yes 20 songs! Some of them are awful such as World War but some are actually really good and fully recorded and well produced versions would have been good like Winter and The Cocktail Party. Good album to have if only for the excellent bonuses and for the fact that this is where it started!
