Yeah I'm wondering how early I should get there too...The venue is a big one though the standing zone shouldn't be huge...
I'm a long-time fan from HK and I'm going on my own coz none of my friends wanted to pay that much for a ticket...Can't wait to meet other fans from all over the world!

To do in HK before show?

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do in HK for drinks, relaxation, clubbing, whatever in the days before the show? Ive seen references to Chemical Suzy here and there...is that open still? Worth visiting? Any other places, dive bars, clubs, coffe shops, etc?

Hello, docjon75 and bananafish bones! I have a Pinoy best friend, who's working in Dubai now. Sabi niya, gusto niyang pumunta sa Hong Kong show, pero hindi puede. Unfortunately, he can't take a vacation in July. I hope The Cure will have a show in Dubai in the near future.

Being on a package tour, I'll be doing sightseeing till 5pm on July 30.
I don't know exactly how far the venue is from my hotel, but I'm pretty sure that I can't be there before 6pm.
I hope I can find my space...

I just refuse to push my way to the front so my wife can see, so we make sure to get there as early as we can stand it for a good view.

hey docjun75 and bananafish bones, i just got word about the cure concert in hkg just now! late na! anyway, will be getting my PAL tickets tomorrow. mahal na cebu pacific at this time e. did you book your concert tix online?
im not sure yet if im going to hkg or singapore. depends what ticket i get tomorrow.
anyway, this is really so cool!! i have been wishing for the longest time to see the cure live in concert.

Hey drei100! Yup, my friend and I bought our tickets online. Then we made use of their courier service to have the tickets delivered here in Manila. Courier service takes around 20 days to deliver. Our tickets will arrive on July 9. Hey, I just checked with Cebu Pacific, the rates are still okay. Just a little more compared to rates we got June 15. If you plan to buy tickets online and not use the courier, you have to pick them up at the venue a day before the event (per HK Ticketing advisory) Hope to see you there!

flew in from Manila to watch the show and it was more than what we all expected!!! 100% pure talent!!! i can still feel the energy just thinking about the 3 hour concert!!!! best concert of my life and one of the happiest moments!!!!

Staceyjun and Docjon75: Actually I'm out of VL credits for this year because I went on vacation the whole month of April...but that won't stop me from being on SICK LEAVE for 2 days. Ha ha ha By the way, regarding the Cebu Pacific rates you'll have to pay additional for the airline tax and terminal fee (around PhP2,500). Wala pa food yun. Anyway, can't wait for concert day...itching to rock n' roll!!!

Of course, the show was nothing less than amazing, probally the best concert I've ever been to, seeing as how close me and my friends were. But... the absolute best part was... we found a little balcony behind the stage where we could clearly see the guys, and when Robert came off the stage after the show, we yelled out heads off "ROBERT!" and... he actually turned around and waved! Just one of those extremely lucky situations. thank you the cure for an amazing night.

I have seen the Cure 7 times before last night's show but yesterday's was by far the best. I just couldn't believe the amount of non-stop classics that they churned out. I pity those who only got into the Cure after Wish (ie. 1992) because 90% of the songs they played last night were from their early years - brilliant stuff. Rare songs like Figurehead, If Only Tonight we Could sleep, From the edge of the Deep Green Sea and even Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me were mixed in with the inevitable hits like Friday and Just like Heaven. Their first set (without any break) lasted for 2 1/2 hrs! Smith said it was the longest set they've evey played! They came back for 2 encores and were off into the night. Fabulous memories, great sounds and nothing short of a spectacular evening. Now I want to see the full set list!
