I’ve seen a lot of concerts in my life, but this one was beyond anything I’ve ever experienced before. My husband and I absolutely loved it! Robert is someone we would love to have over for dinner. He is a genius! And his music is timeless.

Great show... just enough of the "older stuff" to keep me happy (tho would really have loved some more), and totally skipped wms (just fine with me) and totally represented disintegration (their best, imoho).
ps. a forest rocked of course, but killing an arab was AWESOME!!!
was anybody else smart (or sober) enough to get a complete setlist?? obviously, i was neither :) awesome show....

I am SO EXCITED. It is difficult to wait. But I am luxuriating in my fantasies.
I love my fantasies. They are all quite fantastically wonderful.
from my trip to Toronto.
WHAT A FANTASTIC CONCERT! The MOST high energy show I have ever been to. I looked around many times during the night and it looked like EVERYBODY everywhere...from high in the nosebleed seats to down on the floor where I was, were up on their feet and dancing every dance except for 100 Years, because were were too sobered and mesmerized by the thought provoking slide show to dance. Seriously. Then the dancing started again. It was a dance dance dance kind of night. Lots of fun.
I ache from head to toe from none stop dancing, but it a good kind of pain.
:-)
I said it was worth the wait when many complained about Mr. Smith posponing the show, don't get me wrong some complaints have solid reasons, but my view was; best to get a show that they really want it to do and NOT one that they HAVE to do, we'll be getting a hell of a show and we know that, and Robert had time to concentrate in the new album and return to the stage with renew energy, anyone for a drink before the show?
Did anyone on here get to meet The Cure while they were in Toronto? Backstage pass lucky's? Any stories would be cool, one month later and me and my freind are still buzzing about our Cure concert!.....

I would kill for a proper photographer's pass... but these will have to do for now!
These were taken with a small point & shoot camera from Row 4 on the floor.
Enjoy!

I have found my tickets, so I really hope I will be there! I only "hope", i am not sure, as our plane lands at 5 pm and the venue is at 7 pm... i really hope we will get to the Centre in time, or at least not too late... anyway, see you all there!
I love you, THE CURE!
Just as the title of my comment states, I cannot ask for a more stellar performance, then what was brought to the table, at he show this past Thursday.
I had surprised my wife, with hella cool seats CNTRFL Row 7. Which left my wife in paradise for the 3 hour show.
We had noticed an array of emotion, and candid moments of some guy swaying back and forth Slowly, thinking he was stuck in 1960, and my wife had noticed that people in front of us were mocking him, oh well.
Over all great expectations were met, and I hope to see Robert and his band in the coming years!
i can't believe it! the time has come, im travelling from south america to see my favorite band in toronto and next june in ny!!!!!can't wait, hope to meet you guys there... only to receive a smile from you, it will make me sooooooooo happy!!!!! kisses...
The boys played for exactly 3 hours and left me and my daughter hoarse and completely satisfied. Only my 4th time seeing the Cure live and I only wish that I could follow them around to some more shows as they once again exceeded my lofty expectations.
Expecting Plainsong to start off the show, I was pleasantly surprised with Open as the first track and thrilled that Forest was not omitted like in Philly, but fittingly positioned as the final song of the concert. Robert's voice was in great shape and in my opinion, the 3-4 new songs were well received - Freak Show is great fun! I was shocked that there were so many empty seats (roughly 9,000 in the ACC tonight), but I would blame that on the fact that this was a rescheduled show that was not promoted around the city at all. The biggest surprise of the night to me, was the fact that there were no songs from Wild Mood Swings as far as I can recall - maybe someone will correct me on this, but I'm pretty sure about this. Funniest part of the show was during Never Enough(?...) when Robert, sans guitar, ALMOST broke into dance! He won over my 16 year old daughter big time with his unique stage presence and great musicianship.
Sorry there isn't more detail, but I'm knackered and am sure you will get more elaborate reviews shortly.
Peace,
Jock
I saw & hear Them in february in Poland. You better preper for it. it was great!!!! more than 3 hours of magic. Visit www.thecure.pl to see play lists from 4 tour and you can also find some bootlegs. I wish i was with you in Toronto. Enjoy that time I'm still impresed. Best wishes for canadians
alex3a4 - yes you can just use the september tix. I called ticketmaster to verify. Traveling to Toronto for the concert, so I wanted to be 100% sure.
Just as in last summer's shows, no tracks from Wild Mood Swings are in the sets. I know many don't consider it a great album but I've grown to really enjoy it. With this line-up Want would be amazing. I hope Wild Mood Swings is eventually given it's due.
Yay. This will be my second time to see them. I saw them in Tampa along time ago. My friend Alicia will be coming up from Florida to see them with me.... Disintegration was there best album!!!!!!

Anyone want to go halves on the Auction ?
Hey, I see the bid for the meet and greet along with primo seats is close to $2000.
Would anyone like to go halves with me ?
I still have 2nd row centre for the Toronto Show but I would still like the meet and greet opportunity.
Let me know.
