Tix to Monday's show...

Hey all,

I have a pair in the 13th row if anyone is interested. You can have them for my cost. I'm in Poco, so we should be able to arrange to meet fairly easily if you're in the Lower Mainland.

What I would love to hear...

This will be the first time I will be going to see the Cure. There have been other opportunities but because of various reasons I was unable to go. The concert was a birthday present for my husband and I am also bringing my friend who is a new, completely obsessed fan. I will be happy with whatever they play because I think from watching a couple of their DVDs (especially) Trilogy they are amazing live and that is just from a DVD. But, it would make the concert that much more special if I could hear these songs live:

If Only Tonight We Could Sleep
The Kiss
The Lovecats (for my husband as that is his favourite song, and his first time of being able to see them)

Every thing else played would just be the icing on the cake. I hope that every body responds well to them in Vancouver and they play for 3 hours like they have been in Europe. I am traveling from Regina, SK to see them. I have been a fan for 25 years and counting and this is just going to be the best experience ever! I can't wait until May 26 arrives. Robert you are the absolute best! Tammy xo

UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING

The show was fabulous! I can't even begin to describe how I felt when I recognised the first few notes of The Lovecats!! Every song they played was full of memories for me. They couldn't have picked a better setlist!!
And Porl's outfit...WOW. I wanted those shoes!
Thanks guys for the wonderful show! You just keep getting better!

Blown away!!!!

Thank you for the wonderful Vancouver show!! I am so glad that Lovecats was one of the encore songs because that is my husband's favourite song and the tickets to the concert were his birthday present. I hope you meant what you said about seeing us again. I am so happy I finally got to see you live but one time was not enough. I need to see you at least one more time. You were awesome Robert despite being still under the weather. Thank you for the most amazing show! I got one of the song set lists from the stage. I am so happy about that. Didn't get to meet you but I probably would have fainted any ways. Love you Robert!! Keep making your amazing music.

OMG!!! 20 years in the waiting

Well, actually more than that, but I have waited for what seems like 2 life times for the opportunity to see The Cure in concert.

I nearly died when I saw last year the show scheduled for October 14th, the day after we got back from our first ever family vacation. Living 1300kms away in Edmonton, Alberta there was no chance in heck that I could even get to it, so imagine my extreme happiness that it was postponed.

My hubby, knowing that this was my ultimate-go-see-concert agreed to take time off work to watch our 2 kids so I could fulfill my wildesst dream. I was given 2 tickets for mother's day.

Kudos to a great man, he spent the last month boning up on every Cure track, album, rarity that I could place on the Ipod. It isn't his preferred style of music, so for me it meant more than words could say.

A friend of ours was supposed to join me but couldn't so we packed the whole family off on a vacation to Vancouver so the 2 of us could go see the Cure rock it out.

The concert rocked our socks off, Yup, both of us. It is 3 days later and I am still vibrating from our experience. I can not say enough great things about the concert. Everyone asks how our vacation was and I can't stop talking about the concert.

This was the best Mother's day present EVER!! It's going to be hard pressed for a long time to top it off.

Thanks so much to Robert, Simon, Porl and Jason for exceeding my fondest wish. You guys have always been a big part of my life, and will continue to be, now with live in colour memories

2 Days til Heaven...

I'm ready to go Robert! It's been 20 years since I've seen The Cure (1987 Kiss Me Tour). I can't wait. With tickets in hand I'm ready, not to mention I have very good seats. As Robert said in October, this will be worth the wait...and I believe it. See you all at the concert Monday night. Let the games begin!!!

WAS JUST LIKE HEAVEN

after waiting nearly nine months before i could see the cure, i must say great things come to people who wait. i was forunate to have been able to watch this talented band front row dead centre. i hav enever left a concert where i felt such love for fans than i did that night. since age thirteen i have wanted to see robert smith belt out those beautiful notes and he did with such grace and power. wow i was blown away and even cried. truly an event i will never forget. im still three days later on cloud nine and i relive every moment in my head. thank you so very much for allowing us to enjoy your music. love you

Thanks guys!

An amazing show with a great atmosphere and it is nice to see Porl back in the Cure camp. Simon and Jason were a well oiled machine and are probably one of the best rhythm sections out there... Great... Great... Great. Onyl wee complaint is the absence for the most part of Faith, Seventeen Seconds, self-titled and Pornography tracks. Still just a small complaint and after all they made up for it with the second encore. Here is ther set-listr for those interested:
fascination street
the walk
the end of the world
alt.end
lovesong
sleep when i'm dead
pictures of you
lullaby
the perfect boy
from the edge of the deep green sea
hot hot hot
the only one
push
friday i'm in love
inbetween days
just like heaven
primary
never enough
wrong number
one hundred years
Encore:
the lovecats
let's go to bed
freakshow
close to me
why can't i be you?
Encore 2:
boys don't cry
jumping someone else's train
grinding halt
10:15 saturday night
killing an arab
Encore 3:
a forest
