Houston Toyota Center show

That was the most amazing show I have ever seen and I have seen 85% of The Cure's concerts. The versatility, and that big wall of sound, I don't know how to explain it, except to say you should have been there. I tried after that to find good tickets for either of the NY shows and for Charlotte. No good seats left, so, I only got to see it once. But Robert said he's working on a video from this concert series... Yay!

LOVE YOU ROBERT!!

It was my first time seeing The Cure live! I was so exciting! I'd always miss them when they would come. Robert looks so amazing on stage. He is simply lovely. He played my favorite song of his first(Out of This World)! Sometimes I do want to go out of this world. It was so endearing. I almost cried. I love the lyrics to that song. I hope one day I do get to meet Robert and the rest of the band in backstage or something. For now, I'm just happy I was in the same arena and just to see them from a distance was enough. I was very happy that night.

I feel like I'm waiting to go on a first date! I'm all giddy!! This show is going to be awesome, I know it! I can't wait to see you guys and hear some new music and some of my favs.

see you there!

Faith Encore

Getting more and more excited about the show everyday! Robert, Simon, Porl and Jason I love what I have heard of the new material so far and am really looking forward to the new album. Any chance I could talk you into playing the Faith encore in Houston?! It is one of my very favorite albums and it would make a perfect show even that much better!

Thank you and best of luck with the rest of the tour!

Opening Song

The opening classical music as they took to stage, anyone know who performed it? I see it listed as "Adagio for Strings" but was wondering who's performance of it they used and where to get it!

Truly enthused about concert!

I really can't wait until the concert! I camped out at the Toyota Center's box office all night to be the first in line for tickets. (This was before they re-scheduled to the newer date) Little did I know they were going to do a raffle on the order of everyone in line about 30 minutes before tickets went on sale. Luckily, I got 7 9th row floor seats on the aisle and couldn't have been more pleased!

I went to the Dallas Show and it was unbelievable. The sound is really different without keyboards but still sounds amazing. The Cure played for 3 amazing hours. At one point I felt like I went back in time 20 years. I almost cried during just like heaven. THANK YOU CURE FOR SUCH AMAZING MEMORIES.

Austin show was too damn HOT!!
Although I am very happy that I got to hear the catch live

The Birthday Girl - not once, but TWICE.

I don't know if Robert or any of the other guys actually read this section, but just in case, I will post my story...

The Cure has been my all-time favorite band since the age of 11. I was literally obsessed from that age well into my '20s. At the height of my euphoria, it must have been fate that their concert here in Houston took place on my 13th birthday, which remains one of the MOST AMAZING experiences of my life. I never imagined I'd be celebrating my birthday with The Cure. As fate would have it, this year's show was originally scheduled for Oct., but was rescheduled for June 9th, which is my 30th birthday. All these years later, I will once again be celebrating with The Cure. Being a die-hard fan for so many years, I can't express how very lucky I feel to once again relive one of the most memorable nights of my life!!! :) It must have been fate...

So Robert, if you happen to read this,- my deepest love & adoration to you. You will forever be one of my idols & greatest inspirations. And if you could, for this birthday girl, PLEASE play "To The Sky" at your Houston show this coming Monday. I will be hoping.....

Opening Band

Was it me or was the sound of the opening act incredibly loud? I couldn't bear listening to them and ended up waiting for them to end before even entering the arena. *sigh*

Great show in Houston though!

Thank you, Robert, for singing Kyoto Song. It reminds me of living in Japan and I cried. You are brilliant! I don't think I've EVER gone to a Cure show and not boohooed at some point.

xoxo

AWESOME SHOW

Wow, this was a show for the Cure fans. It was great to see the energy and dedicated fans out there. Big surprises were "Maybe Someday" and "Letter to Elise". But the highlight was "Pictures of You". There is nothing like seeing/hearing your all-time favorite band playing your all-time favorite song. Wow!
Can someone post a setlist? I want to carry the memory with me forever.

JUST LIKE HEAVEN

this is exactly how it felt when my partner and i got to hang out with the CURE!!! we won the meet and greet for the houston show it was the BEST experience in the world! NOTHING can compare to how we felt before, during, and after this amazing show! our seats were front row/center! before they came on stage...we were escorted backstage. we thought that we were just going to say hello and maybe get a quick picture in the hallway...but NO... we were taken to their dressing room! When we got inside Jason and Simon were there. Simon was sitting on the couch strumming his guitar...Simon immediately came over to us to introduce himself! he offered us a drink and then poured us some white wine. they said that Robert was still getting ready and would be in soon. he walked in and then time stood still...then Porl walked in. we all chatted about music, past houston shows, song set lists, what my partner(girlfriend) and i did for a living....we both work at starbucks. they love starbucks. we offered to be their personal baristas! we also could not leave their presence without telling them how much their music means to us...and how their songs are the soundtrack to our lives. happy moments, sad moments, bliss and/or sorrow...there is a CURE song to get you through it. they autographed our vinyl albums, tickets, and tour books. we took pictures with them and it did feel VERY surreal..very dream-like..very heavenly. words can't express how welcoming, nice, and genuinely down to earth these guys are. they made US feel special. we didn't expect that. we didn't just meet & greet...we got to have some wine and hang out with the BEST BAND IN THE WORLD! WE LOVE THE CURE!

Tickets for Houston

Looking for tickets for sec a-c rows 1-10. Need two tickets side by side.

They need to add a show at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands. Really do not want to go to they toyota center.
Maybe I will drive out to Austin, haven't been to a general admission show since Disintegration at Giants Stadium back in High School, on the field right in front of the stage (that was the best concert I have ever been to).
