Jynx...what is it about teenagers just "knowing" instinctively how all kinds of technology works? And why is it, that when we hit our 30's any knowledge we ever had seems to disappear...like some form of technological dementia...

As for having any idea how teenagers know such things by instinct... I have no clue!
