Out in the states!!! Yay!!!! I can't wait until I get out of work so I can go buy it. I am soooo excited I can't wait to actually have it in my hands.

What a Birthday Present!

I, too was bummed when they moved the release date from 10/13 to 10/28 in the US. But, it's my 44th Birthday - so although no one has remembered my birthday (and turning 44 kinda sucks ya know)at least I can take solice in picking up 4:13 Dream after I get off work.

I do have to admit, I've cheated & watched some of the album performed in Rome on 10/11. It's fantastic!

4:13 Dream

So I went to the Best Buy at lunch and *pphfft* wouldn't you know...they hadn't received their shipment yet! The sales tag was there, but no cds! Another girl was there waiting to see if the guy found anything in stock, but no such luck. Looks like I'll be making another trip on my way home. We've been waiting and waiting and waiting for this album, so I guess I'll wait a few more hours! Really, the anticipation is killing me!!

YAY....

I got mine yesterday (moral of the story - go with play.com instead of hmv.com)...

I'm pretty pleased...

The album goes rather wring in the middle...

Real Snow White probably being the worst song on the album but then it recovers well...

Switch KICKS ARSE. I like It's Over. Sirensong is fucking beautiful in a dreamy starry way...

Scream is just mindblowing too...

Obviously UTS is wonderful...

And now the NME have finally woken the fuck up to the Cure being heroes...

And a show for us in Feb...?

For the first time in too fucking long I am happy.

Now how do you get tickets for the Brixton gig? I will gouge and rend to be there...it's my fave venue...

Won my copy (which is a promo copy) at a listening party last Saturday. Makes up for my disappointment at finding 4:13 on the shelves at Target on Friday and then finding out they wouldn't sell it to me.

Selks, did you get it yet??? One copy for home, one for the car - you know? BTW, you're not the only one whose life seems to be governed by murphy's law - it's the story of my life...

I was at Target when they opened and it was all I could do to NOT run to teh back of the store and grab it off the shelf!! I know I oculd have paid cheaper for it but really I dont' care I just wanted it and Target is closest to me! Sick, just sick that I ordered mine from Amazon ( cause I live in the boonies, no Best Buy for 300 miles ) and now, while everyone else is in dream land...I am still waiting... I have a pretty seious pout brewing knowing that I have a long road trip this weekend and Amazons expected date of delivery isnt until AFTER I get back... **$#% oh the pain...

So I picked it up right after work. Yes it was there at Best Buy for 9.99. You can't beat that! So I love the whole CD. Of course though The Reasons Why and The Perfect Boy are my favorites for today.

So yeah I am willing to fly to London so hopefully I can get tickets.

I am truly happy right now. God I love The Cure.

On my second listen now

I can't pick it apart, I haven't given each song enough play, but I will say, this album is absolutely gorgeous as a whole. There is seriously not a single track I don't love. So far. ;) I'll give it time, you never know, like the way Gone grew on me and Lovesong grew off, lol.

I have to say though, it's the first record in a long time that I've listened through and loved it all right away, Cure or otherwise. OK, back to my listening party hee. *chair dances*
