What would the "trilogy" be that 4:13 dream is a part of?

According to Robert, Bloodflowers fulfilled the trilogy, in his mind, of Pornography to Disintegration to Bloodflowers

(I always thought of Seventeen Seconds, Faith and Pornography as one,
Head on the Door, Kiss Me, Disintegration, as another, but anyways)

Where do you all see 4:13 Dream fitting in the continuum

I say The Top, Wish, 4:13 Dream
or
Disintegration, Wish, 4:13 Dream

Trilogy?

Hmm... I'd say Wish for sure, and about half of Wild Mood Swings! :o)

I think 4:13 has a lot of influences from many previous albums, including THOTD and Kiss Me.

I'm certainly interested in the 'dark' album which hopefully will follow! :o)

Cats... x x

I would imagine that the next trilogy would be:

THE CURE
4:13 DREAM
and the next album that will be released on ???????

4:13 Dream trilogy...

I read a review before it came out which stated that '4:13 Dream' was closest to the 'Wish' era and I see that some of you have also compared it to 'Wish' too.

'Wish' is actually my favourite Cure album, but for the life of me I cannot see how '4:13 Dream' is comparable with it.

Okay, 'The Only One' is similar to 'High' - I'll give you that - but that aside, I don't see it.

To be quite honest... I'm disappointed with '4:13'

I was hoping for a 'Wish-Part II' or a Bloodflowers, Disintegration or even a Faith.

Maybe '4:13' will grow on me, but in the meantime I'll group it with the self-titled 'The Cure' (an album I didn't particularly like) and 'Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me'

I don't like feeling disappointed with '4:13', but I am.

but, The Trilogy wasn't really three albums that went together.

It's a story with
a beginning: Pornography
a middle: Disintergration
an end: Bloodflowers

so, comparing it to Wish because it is reminiscent of that era doesn't necessarily make a complete story. I see Wish with KMKMKM and WMS.

mmmm, I don't know if it "fits" like that, but...

...while my first thought was Kiss me, Wish 4:13 Dream, I'd also lean towards Wish, WMS, 4:13 Dream...however, I reckon this could be the beginning of the next phase, so 4:13 might be first, then...

Re: What would the "trilogy" be that 4:13 dream is a part of?

I think Dream has a lot of flavors from various earlier albums, such as KMx3,Wish and WMS. I really like the new album and it's interesting to see the mixed reviews the fans are giving it.

A bit of everything

I think 4:13 Dream has bits from many old albums, The Top, Kiss Me, Wish, The Cure. I don't know about the trilogy thing, let's wait for the second, "dark" part and whatever comes after that.

I think there are some great songs on 4:13, "Underneath The Stars" is one of the best ever Cure songs I think, for me falls into the same category as "The Kiss". "The Reasons Why" and "This. Here And Now.With You" are beautiful songs.

There is one song I really can't stand, that's "The Real Snow White"...what a nice title, what a horrible song!

@ Hayhook: I was thinking of adding the same signature this morning, I love these lyrics!

Trilogy?

If 4:13 Dream forms part of it, you can`t call it trilogy anymore, or you`ll have to eliminate one (bloodflowers)

What would the "trilogy" be that 4:13 dream is a part of?

I think the Trilogy Albums may consist of the following:

1) The Cure (2004), 4:13 Dream (2008) and the new companion CD coming out late Spring 2009. Remember, Robert was going to release a double CD this fall but didn't. The darker side of the missing double album will be the companion CD.

but most likely,

2) Wild Mood Swings (1996), The Cure (2004) and 4:13 Dream, seem to be a trilogy possibility too. Maybe we will see a new Trilogy DVD set come out in the near future.

We will find out soon enough...

'dreams'

some tunes from Kiss Me (1)
some tunes from Wish (2)
& some tunes from W.M.S.(3)
but then again 'UTS' could have been from Disi -era or The Scream from The Top,so...it isn't a part of any Trilogy at all...
It's unique & i finally like all of it,really!
& now just waiting for the 'dark' part, let's say at 21st of April '09?
:)
(with hope).

Not too sure it fits into a trilogy

Maybe.....
Kiss Me x 3, WMS, 4:13

Or more likely...
Head On, Kiss Me x 3, 4:13

But also a bit...
Kiss Me x 3, The Cure, 4:13

the way I see it fitting in

KMKMKM, Wish, 4:13

4:13 definitely pairs with Wish, IMO
