I'll always be grateful to the old site for allowing me to be introduced to some wonderful cure fans from around the world. It was a life changing thing for me when I joined the old forum. Happy to meet the newer people who stuck it out with the old forum and are here now. And of course there are real loyalists like DJ who have been on here just about forever. Three brand new names to me that I've noticed that post here alot are Rachybee, Robert_Hairspray and Rosepetals. Greetings! I was cat_pet on the old one - had that name because I thought we had to use email addresses; but I never liked using that name. Didn't really post much after Phoenix/Nik stopped his London Calling thread and the spam got overwhelming. That was in about January of 2007. In any case, I created a new account when the new forum came out. I hope this forum will bring together the old and the new and we can coexist peacefully even if there are personal squabbles from old times. The world, and Cureland, is big enough for us all to coexist. Cheers! Kat p.s. by the way, there is a select crowd that loves to bash anything post-Disintegration. They "live" on other forums as well. Just learn to ignore the naysayers..... |

 Fevvad | Not all negative!Like someone has said, lots of people just threw their hands up and walked away from here,and let's face it, was pretty bad there for a while,so much flotsam and jetsom to wade through.Now, it seems to be humming along okay, so more people are signing up. Whilst there are plenty of regulars, there are those,like me, who just come here now and then, and I must admit, I enjoy reading most of the posts. Don't be suspicious of newbies,as most of us are Cure fans, just like you! Had to laugh though..on another site they have made a heading re Mary "posting" on here, then going on about "don't they have mods there?" and "Oh, that's just typical of the official site"... but they are here lookin' aren't they? And I bet you anything you like, they'll keep popping in "just in case".. hahaha... chill out, enjoy the ride and keep loving your band... |

| rachybee | CureCatLady...Hi, pleased to meet you......I joined in September 07, just when Levs was at her most insane I think, and was spamming like there was no tomorrow. A lot of people were being really really nasty to each other, and I understand why a lot of the old regulars left. I didn't comment too much for ages because I was new and didn't feel it was my place. When I got to know people a bit better and understood their personalities and where they might be coming from, then I felt a little more comfortable in stating my opinions. However, I always did it in a way (and still do, I think) that was respectful and open-minded. |
