Hooli's Amazing Cure Day 2! (with pics and vids!)

Alrighty, where the hell do I start?

Went and met my mystery serial killer rapist (davidjohnhopkins) who gave me the free ticket. met him at st pancras which was lucky for him cause he'd never been to London nor on a tube! Small towners, yeesh! haha. He turned out to be pretty cool, had a happy noodle boy tattoo just like I do an everything. So we went to the Pilot Inn to meet up with cure connections, and talked to two cool people, but most people seemed to sit at seperate tables and two people with huge hair were obviosuly cure fans were total asshole when I tried to greet them. Thought they were forgien, but no, they were just assholes!

So we got the drink on, went and wandered around teh FUCKIN HUGE o2 (they have carnival rides in there! jebus!) and drank a water bottle of whiskey (poured into bottles of coke of course) saving the special pants whiskey for later (yes, more pant whiskey!!).
Had some shots in a bar where I ran into Catsncheese, which was cool, she was the only forum person I met there (though I expected her to have more fur and whiskers! hahaha). But we were standing and she was seated so we parted ways to go in.
We totally avoided going in till halfway throuhg franz ferdinand, then the announcement - 15 mins till THE CURE!! zomg
So we bashed out way up front (some weak people tried to kick me on the way past cause they were pissed they didnt have the balls we did) We got front and just right of center about two-three people deep, cause once you get up there those people are ANIMALS and they wont be moved. But I had a clear shot to Simon *drool* and could see robert if I looked round the other side of someones head *faint* porl was really far away though so I didnt get a single good pic of him!
I went mad, I went nuts, and I found myself losing it and screaming 'OMG SIMON YOUR HOTTTTTT!' a whole lot. hahaha
They played alot of good tunes, a few that I really wanted to hear they didnt play tho (and of course david wanted to hear lovecats and I bet him a drink they wouldnt!) But they did play A forest and Primary which are two of my FAV songs. And Simon just bounced around doin his thing, and Robert was lovely as always..and now I totally know what everyones talking about when they can't understand him between songs! At some point he was talkin and kept talking and moved away from the mic and sort of turned a bit..I was just thinking 'uhm, Bob, we cant hear ya when you are talking into the mic, let alone away from it!' sooo cute.
Disturbing note, they were all wearing the same outfits from last night..you think they partied all night, or washed those clothes? Are they secret scrubbers?

I feel the need to mention I have NEVER in my whole LIFE been to a gig this big. All the bands I see are in pubs and bars. I would have killed to be at the Trubador or even in the pit during the NME awards (maybe jesscatpainter was a bit right to try her damndest to get the standing tix!). I didnt much like the huge gig thing, as much as I loveeed seeing The Cure and all. I felt REALLY sorry for the people waaaaaaaaaayyyy up in the balconies. Its all a bit impersonal and such.

Funny thing, all these people pressing up against me had rode my skirt up above my hips and I didnt much notice or care till the gig ended and people were leaving the standing area and I realised I was flashing everyone my knickers...LOL!!!!


Missed my last train home as well and had to frantically call people on my team to let me stay at theirs, and luckly I did, didnt get home till just now! God I'm worse for wear I tell ya!!!!


I'm a bit down now though, all these amazing days are over. Now its my turn to be jealous of you american peeps. I miss the Cure already *sigh*

I have no trouble understanding him in interviews, but hes jsut so soft spoken into the mic, and like I said sometimes he doesnt even get near the mic and i'm like 'dammit, I can't hear u robert!'


O btw rose, met a robert lookalike and touched his hair (ALOT) and it was actually quite soft, not like a brillo pad, and no matter how much u touched it it stayed in place too! His hair also smelled really good (yea I sniffed it!) I wonder if real robert's smells that good...

They're GREAT photos! And I love the shameless ass pics... yum! At Manchester, I got right up front, and was at perfect eye-level, if ya know what I mean...!!! That sickly pink camera wasn't that bad after all! :o)

Hey Hooli...was great chatting to you and David in the Pilot Inn...I take it its me and the friend I was with that you were referring to as "two cool people"? :-) It wasn't the most friendly place was it?..although a really cute girl said hello as we were just leaving! I found people in the Slug & Lettuce pub were friendlier. We went back for a drink after the gig aswell with some others. What an amazing couple of nights! Gig was great too!!

Heyyy wicked! Ya we fucked off to have dinner at nandos but then went and drank outside then at the haha bar so we never got round to goin back to the slug and lettuce, sorry! But I say pics of the pilot inn after apparently we left and it looked more busy..weird!
