The Cure

festivals blow...

to whine about the lack of US dates on the upcoming festival tour makes me feel all bratty...
but then i remember how much i hate festivals...
only ever enjoyed one:
KROQ Inland Invasion '03... even then, we sat in traffic all night leaving (didn't get back to the hotel until 4am)

still majorly bummed @ not being able to get up to NYC to see the Beacon Theatre shows...

Agreed! Festivals suck! Usually I'm only there to see one band anyway...in this case it would be the Cure if I could actually afford to go to Europe.
Maybe they'll play a proper tour in the states. I'm hoping!

If they played the Big Day Out's here I'd go. Plea!!!!!!! I'd go to Falls as well but it would be a hassle.

I don't like festivals. I like proper toilets!! ;-)

But... if I can get a one-day ticket to a UK one I'll probably go. That was one reason why I didn't go to Bestival, as you could only get a ticket for the whole weekend.

Some people like them.
Personally, I don't care for festivals.

My only festival experience was Bestival, just for one day, to see The Cure & that was exhausting enough for me! The toilets were fine & it wasn't too muddy, but the price of tickets, combined with food, drink & merchandise was extortionate! How do these kids afford to go every year is beyond me? I don't think I would pay that much again, just to see The Cure! If it was The Cure, Bowie & Placebo, then I might re-consider!
