Jason is playing betterWow, 17 years has passed since Jason joined the band and I have noticed his drumming has improved (still not good enough but...).
The band must be working with a new crew of people who know how to make them sound good 'cause their sound is the best of the 'Jason-era'.
Jason has stopped playing those hip hop/R&B drum fills and is playing the real drum fills as recorded in the studio. Still he is playing classics like IBD with bad fills. I hope he changes them soon.
He dropped DW and turned into Nat al drums, an UK company. His tom toms are a little bigger now and sound better than his little DWs.
But his cymbals suck. Both of his crashes decay too fast and are too high pitched. Also his extra hi-hats are always closed! why doesn't he uses a remote control pedal?
Anyway, I'm happy to notice his improvement playing live but sad to know that the band has lost 17 years of bad drumming in studio. Jason is not creative and the band suffers a lot.
