Re: dead souls calling me

Could very well be dead souls. A misheard lyric? Could be about anyone but apparently is about a fan. I love the music and Roberts voice and the way he sings this song. It is not a song I listen too closely to. There's a few trippy songs on 4:13.

Re: dead souls calling me

robert apparently said this is about a fan committing suicide - i'm not sure i should believe what robert says in interviews ;)

associating "the reasons why" with ian curtis because
1. "dead souls" by joy division goes "they keep calling me. keep on calling me", almost identical with "i hear them calling me" in trw.
2. ian curtis was an inspiration for robert, and actually committed suicide

but that's only my interpretation and probably just me seeing worlds that were never there - as usual

I am a little uneasy with what Robert's feelings about suicide could be. Someone could ask him about that in an interview, I would love to hear the answer.

Thanks for the explanation I missed out on Joy Division. I think it was about '94 the first time that I heard Love Will Tear us apart on the radio. I like hearing other peoples interpretations :)
