Over here we just think 'you got me' laugh them off and get on with it... Can't believe a call to the UK could end so tragically. UK DJ's have made prank calls for years. This one just happened to have unfortunately a very unhappy ending :-(

It happens here in the US too. Some radio shows are called the "Morning Zoo" and it's all talking,laughing and just generally annoying material(especially if you are not a morning person)Prank phone calls and making fun of everything and everyone is the normal format it seems. To my knowledge nothing like this has happened here. This is really sad.

Yeah I kind of thought as much. I've heard the tape and the accents the DJs used were really bad. The nurse was not Engish and had the Receptionist been there I doubt the call would have got through Terribly unfortunate.

The hospital are claiming that they were supportive towards the nurse, but with todays blame culture and the need to be seen to do something, I reckon they would have suspended the nurse.
