I think the fact that I haven't been around calmed him down, which is a good thing or...?
Anyway he knows I can handle him, so not to worry
The reason why I haven't been around is and I'm really ashamed in a peculiar way:
that I didn't go to see the Cure at Pink Pop and Werchter.
I'm still trying to fine out why, maybe Robert should email me to ask me why
It could be lifesaving !
He wanted a sign from heaven and I only relize now that he got it already a very long time ago
And yes it sounds mysterious
So Robert it's all up to you

I didn't get to Sydney Levs. I just wasn't able to coordinate the organising in my head to get on the plane, get to a hotel, find my way there.... If it came up now I might have had a go as I'm slowly getting better. Nothing would have stopped me from going to a Melbourne show though. Why aren't The Cure headlining The Big Day Outs? Red Hot Chilli Peppers ffs.

I really hope you are in a good place and don't worry I think most people know that like me, you have challenges to overcome. I think I've said before that you have a good heart, and I think Robert would be happy if you just keep enjoying The Cure's music :)

I also didn't listen to their music for a very long time, at any music at all, only to the radio in my car ( short distances, I just don't feel going far away anymore ), anyway but men what is it these days with that rappishkindasound on the other hand I DO like
( most of the ) dancemusic, the beat is sort of getting you to a completly other world, but that could be just my experience

Well still strange to explain why it took me almost 2 years with almost no music
My mother died more than a year ago( today would be her birthday ) and I've already lost my brother as well eight years ago
So it was silence, just silence...
I wasn't depressed, not even confused I was clear in my head, I already had an amazing experience and to me it was sign from God.
If you don't believe, I am convinced that everyone of us will experience the same in totaal silence or at any time, if you give it a try and open up for him,
have a talk with God

What if God was one of us... REMEMBER ?

This was also the time that I started to read the bible, I bought one years ago but I never came to start reading
It's the word of God and the only way

I haven't lost a brother or sister or a parent but the time will come. There was a time that I couldn't listen to songs with meaning and listened to a crappy mindless pop station. It worked for a while to just bop along to the music.

I'm happy you have come back to us. Can you listen to The Cure now?

and I did listen to 4.13 twice but that was already a long time ago...
I think the time has come to start listening to the Cure more often again. You were right about the pop/dance/hiphop it's just distracton

for what it's worth, anyway!
I went through a phase, and it's ok to still be there...but I got into the cure way before I got into a church, (I asked Jesus into my heart when i was a kid, and believe he came in and started watching over me) but I didn't know anything about the Bible or the commandments. Fast forward to the age of 17 when I first heard the Cure. Fell in love with their sound, got exposed to Faith and 17 Seconds (Happily Ever After, actually) and still listen to those works now and love it to death, still. Fast forward to the year 1991, when I did a self-imposed fast from secular (non Christian) music that lasted over a decade. one night my beautiful husband and I watched Trilogy, and the love affair with their music rekindled. I felt like I could actually breathe again, I was watching the video and taking deep breaths, and it felt like something inside me was being allowed to breathe again. It was absolutely wonderful, to be free enough in the Lord to be able to enjoy music that wasn't only about God, but about Him and so much else. About me. : ) I can listen to praise music and listen to music that talks of other things. There is some music that wants to awaken parts of me that I want to keep silent, and am so glad that I get to listen to most of The Cure's music. I hope to be able to learn to play some songs of theirs, as I'm learning the guitar (WAY more complicated than it looks!). : )

"You and me are the world" she said. "Nothing else is real. The two of us is all there is, the rest is just a dream!" totally speaks to me, in my relationship with my husband. I love when I'm in that zone!
