When was the last time you listened to 4:13 Dream?

What song would you like The Cure to play off it if you saw them in concert?

I'd like to hear The Real Snow White. Robert's fascination with that fairytale is fascinating. I would say the apples come from that not The Garden of Eden.

I listened to a couple of tracks the other day but my whole playlist was on random. I've not listened to either of the two newest albums start to finish in a little while tbh

I would say freakshow.
I really like "the real snowwhite" too, but freakshow is different from what they normally do.

I love 4:13 Dream, listened to it a couple of weeks ago, would be happy to hear any of it, but love sirensong, underneath the stars, or the hungry ghost.

Switch. I like the energy and the honesty of it…and of course the crazy guitar. If, however, this was a roundabout way of asking what my favorite song on that album is, then I must change my answer to Underneath the Stars. That is one decent song!

I’m thinking I should to listen to this album more often and give it another chance. Perhaps it’s better than I first thought.

Hmm it was just last week, I listen to it fairly often now that I think of it. I've heard "Underneath The Stars" live but would loove to hear it again. I have a particular fondness for "Sirensong" It's beautiful, dreamy and it reminds me of the 2004 Curiosa show ;)

I'm going to poop on the good vibes here... This and The Cure are my least favourite Cure albums. Yes, I even prefer Wild Mood Swings! ;-) But if we were all the same the world would be very boring :-)

Ohh, switch. I love the lycris
And I’m tired of being alone with myself
And I’m tired of being with anyone else
Yeah I’m tired…
Like I’m sick

Really simple, but so close to how I often feel. Nice to know your not alone with thoose feelings.
but is it not exactly what we all love about the cure, the knowing that whatever you have felt, someones else has had that same feeling :-)

It is very catchy!
Do you think a dubstep mix of All Cats Are Grey would work?

No :)
I wouldn't mind giving it a listen though.

One of the great things about The Cure is that each album is unique, standing on it's own. Every album is not going to please all. I love 4:13's popness. I recall being so excited when I first heard Freakshow!

Yeah, a sped-up electronic-dance-music version. Hmm… Sorry, it seemed like a much better idea to me yesterday, before my caffeine buzz wore off.

Re: When was the last time you listened to 4:13 Dream?

Ahh, UNDERNEATH THE STARS is being played here all the time. It's on my top 10 list of all Cure songs EVER.

It think this song is the whole Bloodflowers spirit/mood put into ONE song.

And it's a perfect opening song, which they demonstrated several times on the 2008 tour...

BTW, at Bestival they did BOTH their usual opening songs, "Plainsong" and "Open". I was very happy because of that.
But imagine them doing ALL THREE, "Plainsong", "Open" AND "Underneath the stars"... Ahh, that would be something... :)

Re: When was the last time you listened to 4:13 Dream?

I watched The Rome Show, just last weekend. Got the long intro on THNWY:)

I think this album has been ..kind of overlooked?Even, maybe, by the band? I love every song on that album. I won't whine and beg for the second part anymore:(

We get what we're given:)

The second part? As in, the previously only spoken about long long ago in mythical legend, "DARK" album?

I was devastated when I discovered the Rome Show that I had loaded up as a playlist on youtube had been deleted. A couple of months back I did what I could to put one together again but it wasn't the same and there were songs missing. I loved that show!

Re: When was the last time you listened to 4:13 Dream?

Listened last week to the entire album. It's very good, although not a favorite. Tracks I would like to hear live include Underneath the Stars, Freakshow, The Real Snow White and Sleep When I'm Dead.
