Smaller Venues- Thanks Robert

I took the wife to see The Cure in Kansas City at the Starlight Theater in 2008. Robert wasn't feeling well but performed anyways. Being my first Cure concert I was blown away. I came a fan and left a fanatic. Robert made a comment that he had always said he wouldn't play a theater but there he was. If it were not for him playing that smaller venue I would never have been able to see them (I still drove 120 miles to get there). I hope you come back to KC Robert I will be first in line for the tickets! Thank you for an unforgettable show.

Smaller venues are always better IMO. Much more personal and intimate. I'd love to see the Cure play in a smaller venue!

Smaller venues are always better, but what I was getting at was; had they not played this venue, I doubt I could have ever seen them live.
On a side note, while Robert was not well and apologized for his performance, I was really impressed with his commitment to the fans to perform anyways, and even though he was sick they put on an awesome show!

Sorry, I did miss that point you made.
And that kind of dedication seems to be mission with a lot of bands, particularly newer ones

I saw his apology to the KC fans on Youtube. Glad you had a great time! And glad they played somewhere where you could see them!
