Reflections Ticketing

I would suggest to the band & management that the next time they do a show like this they make sure that the ticketing procedures are above board.

Judging by the amount of people who were online & on the phone to get tickets who couldn't them, there must have been a few strings pulled. For those who get to go, they'll be the suits in the front row who don't belong.

Would have been a great show but...

Those who managed to get tickets legit, have a good time.

Those who have put their hands out for freebies - burn in hell - it's okay though, they play lady gaga nonstop.

A little on the upset side here.........

Re: Reflections Ticketing

It was horrendously short-notice with the ticket sales. Usually people get a lot of time between the tickets being announced and put up for sale to the date of the gig. One other annoying thing to lead on from your gripes Scotty would be ticket touts, selling hard-to-get tickets for a small fortune to a genuine fan desperate to go.

Re: Reflections Ticketing

Apparently the ticket maximum purchase was 4/person. It would be interesting to know just how many seats there were in total & how many ended up for sale and/or distribution...

Re: Reflections Ticketing

I'm right there with you guys. I got up at 5:30am in order to be ready to get tickets but didn't manage to, and then 10minutes later there they are on ebay for 4 times the amount or more....
The opera house site was a disaster. It didn't actually operate until 10 past 9!

I'm hoping that there will be another show in a bigger venue here? Please, please, please. I'm a lifetime fan (thanks to my parents being fans) and still haven't seen The Cure T_T

Re: Reflections Ticketing

Hey Melody, spot-on on the OH site. It obviously wasn't designed for the sort of demand that someone like The Cure would produce.

Will have to settle for a seat on the OH concourse & try and catch a note or two.
:(

Re: Reflections Ticketing

Ditto all above comments... now how do we stay informed of any potential Sydney shows at other venues or extra dates... you can't come all this way for 2 performances!

Re: Reflections Ticketing

hello,i was lucky to get tickets, gave up and went online about an hour later and scored two.of course im happy, but saying that having/not having tickets it seems a shame for the fans, for the band to come all this way for two shows.i wonder if they will return to oz and how long it will be.theres heaps of venues around sydney and the fans wouldn,t mind seeing a stripped down show without all the fancy lights etc, horden pavillion, metro, enmore etc etc.

Re: Reflections Ticketing

i think the cost of the tickets could've been higher to a degree as to offset those who bought them to on sell, especially for this extremely ouspicious occasion.

Re: Reflections Ticketing

I got row 5 in the pre-sale. I got my tickets pretty much as soon as they went on sale. I am wondering if any of the rows in front of row 5 were on sale during the pre-sale and the other botched up sale. It seems so many of the first three rows were on ebay.

I had row three. F row, to the side, right in front of Simon. I got that in the ticketmaster pre-sale. So, I can confidently say, not all the first three rows were from ebay. I also know others in those rows who got their tickets in the pre-sales.

Metassa, you were right in front of me, i remember seeing your face.. Anyways we actually were just about to give up on the whole thing after trying over and over again to get on the site when we tried once more and it let us on by sheer fluke. So no the front rows weren't bought by just ebay sellers. And by the way, the people selling them on ebay at exhorbitant prices were told in no uncertain terms, exactly what type of people they were

I'm so glad we got the seats that we had! Both shows were amazing, didn't you think? It was also fun meeting people and recognising people from here. I think collectively, most of us sold spare tickets at face value to other fans. We'll do even better next time and push those scalper scum right out of the market!

Hello Metassa, did you enjoy Reflections? You must of had a great view from f row. I was all the way up the back in circle p and I could see very well from there. It was such a brilliant experience seeing The Cure live, I danced most of the night :) It was actually the best night of my life, I had such an amazing time.

Did you meet Simon?!

I hope all is well :)

Hi Songsabouthappiness! I am so glad to hear how much you loved your first Cure show! Awesome. I thought both shows were excellent, I enjoyed the second night much more though. Did you go to the fan meet up? I went the first night, but not the second. It's a shame I didn't get to meet you!
Yes, I did meet Simon. I thought he was very kind and lovely.

Thank you, it was just brilliant, I left my seat just before Other Voices so I could dance more freely at the bottom of the stairs :) I only went to the second show but it seems everyone enjoyed the second night more, may I ask why you enjoyed it more? No I didn't end up going to the fan meet up however I met a Cure fan at the concert who I follow on Tumblr :) Maybe we can meet up next time? I can't wait to see them play live again :) Wow, how did you meet him? He sounds wonderful :) Were you lucky enough to get through the stage door after the concert?
