This is an interesting question...
The most Cure's song are very guileless...So if you listen one of them and understand the words and feel the music and you are sensitive you will cry...:'(
Sometimes I am too sensitive and I very feel everythings which are The Cure's massages in this times I must cry ...especially on the Bloodflowers..memories...past :'(

I CRY WITH ALL OF THE CURE'S SONGS.

"Cut Here" and "There is no if" are the songs that make me cry every time I listen to them.
But I also cry with their Happy songs such as "Mint Car". That's because it makes me so happy (when I listen to: "Say it will always be like this! The two of us together. It will always be like this, forever and ever and ever...") that I want to cry. So they bring me happy tears.

I also cried the first time I heard the "Letter to Elise", And that's because my name is Elise, and it was like I was listening to the love of my life telling me all these things that Robert says on that song. And Robert Smith IS the love of my life. :')

The exploding boy, I just have to hear it start and I'm off. First love again must be getting on for 25 years ago and I still cry, how do you do it Robert?

I read an interview with RSX around the time of the self titled album and he talked about this song saying it wasn't about that..
But I mean, what else could it mean?!??

I even went as far as to ask him this in the 'Ask Robert' opportunity we had (whick never came to light)..

Lost makes me cry...anniversary especially. And Halo but for good reasons. I think Halo is my favorite. I love Robert so much but sometimes i really feel sorry for him.

the sheer quality of the music, the tone, the umbra takes me to a different level and I reel in breathtaking joy.

Hi there. I am new here, though a fan for about 25 years. I don't know about crying, but chills happen just constantly with the Cure. Few bands have this effect on me. I guess a sort of "Top Ten" in order would be:

10. The Same Deep Water As You
09. Underneath The Stars
08. Charlotte Sometimes
07. Faith
06. One More Time (thankfully the 1st Cure song ever heard)
05. Cold
04. The Funeral Party
03. Plainsong
02. All Cats Are Grey
01. La Ment

Taken together, La Ment, The Funeral Party, All Cats Are Grey, Cold, and Faith are about as towering a monument to sadness and isolation as have ever been recorded. I suppose that is important to some of us, anyways :)
