Faith.

This album means alot to me and I feel that it is a little under rated sometimes...

I could go on and on about why it means so much to me and how it impacted on my life, but I'd love to hear if and why anyone else holds this album so close to their hearts....

Re: Faith.

I also really like Faith and I believe it doesn't get enough credit or attention. Most of The Cure's albums do not :( But that still doesn't take away the brilliance of the album.

Faith was actually the third album by The Cure I got, the first being Disintegration followed by Seventeen Seconds and on first hearing the album I absolutely loved it (I have the deluxe edition) I thought it was different and better than Seventeen Seconds (but I love that album too). Quite a lot of my favourite Cure songs are from Faith these being All Cats Are Grey (I particularly like this song as it helped me get into their darker music, before I even got Disintegration, it's just so different to anything I've ever heard) the imagery in the song is brilliant. "No shapes sail on the dark deep lakes and no flags wave me home" Then there is The Funeral Party and The Drowning Man and who could resist the title track, it's just magnificant.:)

The Drowning Man is one of my all-time favorite songs!!!!! It totally talks you out of taking your life..(well, it did me)..cos one can get to the point where they don't care if it hurts, but if it hurts someone else, that holds us back.
I don't know if that makes sense? He is drowning with her, he has his perspective, which is kinder than her own.
I had a cassette copy of Happily Ever After someone must have showed me the album cover as its got all these cheerleader-type girls waving flags in a field.
PRIMARY!!!!!!! And they did it live in 2008!!!!!!! YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I think you can hear my appreciative scream at the end of them playing that one over everyone else.. : D Geez what a fan I am..hehe

Re: Faith.

Faith is just brilliant!

You know, the structure and atmosphere it has let me feel in another dimension, another world.

People use to say it has too much melancholy and it's not good for a healthy mind.

Damn it! It's not true. I can't feel myself better with anything else. I mean, I'm not in the best moment in my life, and Faith is my company of everyday-life. I can catch energy of it to go ahead. It's a contradiction, but it's true.

My favourite album, no doubt.
