Which Cure Song Helped You Fall In Love?

God, i'm going to be cheesy and say Just Like Heaven.
I used to drag my boyfriend to Whitby at anytime of the year because i loved the sea and it always remined me of the video.
Its such a simple song but its beautyful, i didn't know that it was particular special song to RS (or that his wife was in the video...i know BAD CURE FAN!) because it was about him and Mary...which makes it even more cooler to me ;-)

what got my attention focused, at first, was BY THE EDGE OF THE DEEP GREEN SEA

i thought it was love until i heard GONE and then i knew it could be bigger than it was because now it was

but the mind blower was WANT. there was no doubt at that point.

but the deal was sealed at the rail with LET'S GO TO BED.

i've been waiting in my jammies ever since.

I'll go and be cheesier still then. I loved Pictures of you when I met my girlfriend of a long time now. She used to cry when she heard it, and still does because it reminded her of us. This and the fact we used to listen to it together before we were "together" is what helped us fall in love. H

The whole album Disintegration. Played it while alone with my girlfriend and it became a wonderful night and we got closer from it.

It's a very good album to "do it" to... Starts with Plainsong which is very sort of slow and romantic, and slowly picks up and peaks, then calms down again. It's become our "alone time" CD now, heheh...

Yeah, i like it better than Scarborough, though they do have the song, but Whitby has the Whitby Festival and Darcula....its breezy and there's ALWAYS tourists around (i swear i see the same people there when i go) but its a nice place...though my boyfriend hated taking the Coastliner there (think it was like 2hrs to get each time...advice: never argue once your on those things with someone, its never fun!)

when i went to see the cure live i went with my boyfriend who at the time was my ex who i was still in love with. when they played lovesong he was standing behind me and sang it quietly into my ear. that was about when we started getting back together.

Heheh I gotta be cheesey and say Just Like Heaven too... It was the first Cure song I became absolutely obsessed with, learned the guitar chords to (AND I figured out how to play the keyboard part on guitar too... heh) and the girl I had/have a huge crush on at the time started liking The Cure too, so we had a lot to talk about which was nice... I listened the hell out of that song for a LOOONNGG time :,) I'ma go listen to it now muahahah...

the first cure song i heard was pictures of you. i was going thru a bad breakup and played it over and over and over agin. then decided to listen to other cure songs- thats when i fell in love with the cure and head over heels with robert smith lol...the cure really helped me get thru my breakup which was only like 3 months ago. now im just waiting on a tour. you betta believe im gonna be front row lol. i wish i had known about the cure a long time ago..missed out on so many concerts.

there was a boy which I really liked, and he liked me to, but it seemed like there wasn't a lots of things in common between us..but one day we started talking about music, he said that he likes psychedelic and metal, and some goth songs, so I said him to listen the cure pornography album (it's the hardest and the darkest of all 13, I think), and he really liked it! that helped us fall in love, especially "the hanging garden", it was our lovesong, even if it's not the most romantic cure song :)

It was often not just one song but the whole album. I've had a Wish-, a Disintegration-,a Kiss me-love...
-but my new boyfriend is a lovecat. We always dance to this song when it's played in our favourite club. It makes me miaow!

Disintegration was the soundtrack to a significant life event of mine (ahem). But in the end it didn't turn out to be true love (sigh). A word to the wise, if your boyfriend has to skip Love Song because it reminds him of his ex, then things aren't going to plan! LOL!

pictures of you. dont know if it help me fall in love, but I listen to it a lot when I was together with my first boyfriend. now it always reminds me of that time-but as time has gone by, the song has had a much bigger impact on me, and he is just fading in the background. think he will be completely washed away soon... :-)

When I saw The Cure at the Hollywood Bowl in L.A. in 2008, I was three weeks from becoming a father. And L.A. is about as far from Norway that you could possibly get.

If it had been two weeks, I wouldn't have dared to go. But I took the chance since it was THREE weeks, knowing that I would never forgive myself if something had started to happen before I reached back home.

My girlfriend was at the other side of the globe, with my little baby inside her. And then Robert sings "however far away..." in Lovesong. Man, I started to weep like a child, and cried the rest of the song.

(And the baby that was born when I got home, you can see dressed in a Cure "body" in my profile pictures...)

OK. To avoid the cheesy and be a real macho, let me add the following: THE FOREST has worked as a perfekt break-up song for me several times. "The girl was never there, it's always the same..."

During The Wild Mood Swings Tour, in Tampa, the first song was WANT. Before the first stanza was out of Robert's mouth, I was completely in love.
