Recent Cure Biographies

Hi,

Are there any recent Cure biographies out there that are as good and as detailed as the 1988 "Ten Imaginary Years" book? I don't want to buy one that is considered to be dull... I'd like one that is top-rated and is the most best-selling yet recent.

Thank you,

Ben (ClassicTVMan1981)

I've never found one as good as that one.

I'd like to obtain one if it also contains info about the making and release of "4:13 Dream."

Of course, 10IY covered their period through the "Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me" album and its lead single, "Why Can't I Be You." Since the time they'd done this autobio, three other singles off of KMKMKM, "Catch," "Just Like Heaven" (of which an instrumental version was sent over for the French TV show "Les Enfants du Rock") and "Hot, Hot, Hot." Also keyboardist and former drummer Lol Tolhurst was to be fired, while recording of "Disintegration" was underway.

It's a good read, but just be cautious, there are some factual discrepancies and there are no direct interviews with the band..
I would say the first ten years of this biography would have been written/sourced straight out of 'Ten Imaginary Years'..
Sounds like I'm bagging it, I know but don't let that put you off. There are some genuinely good insights to the group's history, especially the relationship between Robert and Lol..
