The Cure IIS

Does anyone remember the Cure International Info Service? Kind of like an unofficial fan club? I've just been going through all my old Cure stuff and cone across all my old IIS magazines etc. What happened to that?! It would be great if it was still going :-)

Hello fattyowls! Yes, it's a pity. The Internet is a fantastic thing but it does remind me of Video Killed The Radio Star sometimes ;-) it's always nice to have something tangible of the Cure, or whatever else, to just sit and look through. That's why I don't like ebooks either :-(

Mmm.. I remember the band "interviews" being tongue in cheek and very funny! They had good competitions, trivia and photos in there too..
The highlight of the day was to get a 'Curenews' in the post.. and then shell out a small fortune in postage (for me anyway!) to secure your next copy!

All worth it, though!

It was shortly after that disappeared that Chain of Flowers was born anyway! So some goodness came out of the internet monster!

I'd still like to look forward to a fair-sized envelope dropping through my letterbox :-) but CofF will suffice :-)

Just looking back through the posts.. Curenews was official. I think they first started it in '87..
I hunted them all down a while ago and had a read. Couldn't tell you what site it was.. :p

I've only got copies 18-21.. Someone on CoF had some up for sale fairly recently.
