Please, someone tell me once and for all, if the Cure ever covered "I Melt With You" by Modern English. I can't find it listed under Discography, but there are even "videos" available on YouTube.

The Cure never covered "I melt with you" by Modern English this is a common mistake by people that think the cure sings this song.

It's funny, but look on YouTube under "I Melt With You, The Cure," and you will find several "videos" which just show a still pic of the Cure with the song playing. I didn't think the band ever covered the song, but I just keep seeing it (I even saw the Cure's "version" on Limewire way back when it existed).

The up-loaders simply attributed the song to the wrong band. All those English singers sound alike, you know...?

That's a mistake that lives a life of its own on the internet (for more than a decade now) The Cure don't have anything to do with that song.
