Favourite B-sides

What are your favourite B-sides? I've just been getting into their B-sides, I'm thinking about buying Join The Dots, what do you think?

Re: Favourite B-sides

popular thread this one..

favourite b side, the exploding boy, possibly because inbetween days was my first cure 7", but it is still cool anyway.
if you can get the cassette of standing on a beach it has the best of the b sides anyway, but join the dots is a good investment, disc 1 being the cassette b side in it's entirety..

Yeah :)

I'll have to give it a listen. :) I think I should find the cassette of standing on a beach, as I quite like that compilation album but I do not own it yet. Okay thank you for commenting.:)

Are there many b-sides you aren't too fond of?

I don't actually know that b-side there are quite a few that I don't know. What single is it from?

Why do you love it?

My favourite actual b-side has to be This Twilight Garden. It's just so dreamy and reminds me of the back garden at my mum's house from years ago :-)

It's the b-side of Cut Here, and is one of the rare B-sides to be performed live regularly

Join The Dots is a must-have Cure cd.

My fave b-side swings between It Used To Be Me and Spilt Milk.... but for pure romance, it is Halo.

Re: Favourite B-sides

A few of my favorite b-sides

Adonais, Home, Fear of Ghosts, This twilight garden, Ocean, The exploding boy, Halo, Out of mind, Play, Do the hansa, Stop dead, I'm cold, Breathe, Snow In Summer, A few hours after this, Splintered in Her Head, A Pink Dream ... I could go on forever!

I remember once saying I would love to see The Cure do a b-side tour. In some ways, I guess my dream came true with The Reflections tour... if it's the same set they did in Australia earlier this year they'll be playing some early b-sides :)
