Remove Spam

In light of recent events, I feel it would be appropriate for the admin to quickly remove obvious spam, in particular, that spam which includes obscenities. In the best interests of this forum, and the people in it, a quick response to such idiocy would be greatly welcomed and appreciated.

I agree completely. I was online when all that abusive spam was coming in, and I was actively trying to post new threads to push it down the page. I was very concerned about the level of abusiveness and language used.

I also note that there are minors on this forum, and it was most in approrpriate. i am APPALLED that this spam remains to this day, when others have been banned for less - from what I saw and have been told, basically for having an argument and differening opinions which AGAIN went unresloved, became abusive and left people banned and the forum in tatters, with much lies and deceit following.

Its a DISGRACE to the band that THAT spam remains, it should not be on their oifficial page, and impact on how they represent themselves to the public.

I think it would be really helpful if we had a "flagging system" to help the MODs quickly identify SPAM and inappropriate posts when we find them first. It wouldn't mean that items we flag would NECESSARILY be deleted (or moved), it would just make it a lot easier for MODs to find that stuff AND we wouldn't have to start separate threads to the MODs asking them to remove things or put messages on their profile pages asking them to remove things - most of that sort of communication could be avoided just by having the flags.

Craigslist is a very heavily-used site that uses a flagging system to help its mods stay on top of that sort of stuff and I've included some information about it in my thread. I'm going to bump up that thread/suggestion I made, but I think it's called "Help Us Help You (mods)... give us flags".
