Help with art that used to be featured on this site

Does anybody remember that The Cure featured some art from different artists on this website. Probably around 1996. A really nice painting was featured by a female painter from Chicago. I'm trying to remember her name so I could see if she has work for sale online.

I remember the art, but as to names of artists, I'm sorry, I can't remember.
