It is with great excitement that I am posting this link to a contemporary ballet that I choreographed and performed to Closedown.

My contemporary ballet, Faith began as an ode to the grandiose music of The Cure and an encounter with a lightning storm. In the end it came to represent the fear of starting a new creative project, the support I got along the way and how with support an artist can really take off. Its title comes from the Margaret Shepherd quote, “Sometimes your only available transportation is a leap of faith.” Its title is also a tribute to the Cure album of the same name.

Thank you so much for watching it! It was so fun to make. I had never choreographed dance before so it was a challenge.

This and some serendipity lead to my collaborating with music producer Patrick Leonard (famous for long time work with roger waters, madonna, michael jackson and elton john) on an original multi-media ballet. Please have a look at www.thefirstday.info

I'll post a link to short video of the ballet and update this message board when I do.
