Re: the cure in concert! Might be a bit as they just finished their big tour for 4:13 which is better than the last self titled album, not as good as bloodflowers. First post here.
Love the cure, fan since 88. Heard One more time and loved the passion. Then heard Plainsong and bought Disintigration and all prior albums in a weeks span and took it all in. Now, they are a different band but its still Rob and Simon's show. It always has been.
On the new sound. I miss Roger. I know he had to move on, but lets bring someone talented in. So much of their catalog is unable to be reproduced correctly live. I mean its great having Porl back, but really its lacking. Cant hear songs like Jupiter Crash, Same Deep Water, Anything off Kiss Me, Disintigration, How about Wish? Roger wasn't there, yet they managed songs like Trust, where the keys play prominently on album. Live its just not right. But I saw them and props to Porl he still has it.
Now, Jason vs. Boris.
Loved all Drummers for band, and when I bought Mood Swings, I was ready to hear what Jason would do. And.... FanTastic.... Listen again all you haters of jason to tracks like, This is a Lie, Jupiter Crash, WANT, Treasure.... Then they did Bloodflowers, where jason really took it to the next level by not playing too much... listen to There is no if... The title track Bloodflowers... He is really wonderful...
So after that rant I am ready for the supposed Dark album thats in hiding... Lets hear that Disintigration Pt 2 we all want... Bloodflowers completed the trilogy but we need that really haunting album again like Faith, Seventeen, Disintigration, or Pornography...
I wait to see what you guys think... P.s. Favorite track? Fear of Ghosts.....
