how can i meet and greet robert??

does anyone know how much it would cost to meet and greet robert smith- my ICON?? im willing to empty my account haha he is the most amazing artist ever. hopefully ill get to see him in concert sometime but i would do almost anything to be able to shake the hand of my most fav man!

welcome to the forum. Good luck with that one. The elusive mr Smith will be hard to pin down but i'm sure he'll be coming to a town near you soon. That said I live 300 miles from London and i haven't met him for 25 years!!

I don't know of any way to get to meet any of the band. I know some appear to have gotten backstage at concerts as I have seen photos of them with band members. BUT we'd need some concerts announced! ;-)

I suggest when The Cure rolls into your town, go to your nearest K-Mart (if any are left there) and hang out in the mens' underwear section. Robert is always looking for Homer & Disney themed boxers. :-)

Blady Hell. At least you guys have a chance. I live in South Africa. And the World Cup is coming to South Africa, but I am certain that The Cure will never come here. You guys count your blessings, because one can't find The Cure albums here, and the ones you do find is of inferior quality... (background noises on 2 of the songs, 2 page CD inserts.) Hence the fact that I import all my The Cure stuff myself, at roughly 3 times the price of the local prints. As I said count your blessings!!!!!!!! Dx.

I speak from experience--been a Cure fan since 1983 and have met Robert and Simon quite a few times before. Go to a Cure show, then hang out at the venue outside afterwards. You might get lucky and he or the rest of the band may walk out and say hello/sign autographs. Be prepared to wait for HOURS... Sometimes they never come out at all and just drive away in their buses afterwards too, which is a bummer after waiting all that time. At the very least you can meet some interesting Cure fans!

omg cookie. your so lucky! i would wait day and night to meet them. waiting for a tour...= / rly dissapointed i have missed out on so many good concerts. wish i would have known about the Cure long before 4 months ago

I think I remember something a while back where if you donated a certain amount of $ to Amnesty International you could could get a pass to meet them and take pics after the shows. It was on the old Cure website a few years ago.

you know what?? back in my cure hey-day (late 80's early 90's) it wasn't uncommon to find the cure @ disneyland in anaheim, CA. matter of fact, i actually met a guy who met Robert Smith @ disneyland!! true story!! that's my 6 degrees of separation... lol
