A small request for the concert in Bilbao, please read it...Hi!
I am writing to see if there is a chance that someone might be able to help me to get this message delivered to Robert or someone in the band.
One of my best friends lost his wife recently in a motorcycle accident when they were hit from behind while stopped at a red light, it was very tragic, especially considering she was only 28 years old. For some unknown reason the song "Just Like Heaven" always happened to be on the radio when something significant happened during their relationship, their first kiss, finding their first apartment together, etc. The song was always there.
When she died, they donated all her organs to save several lives, but before they could remove the organs she had to be connected to a machine for 48 hours. My friend stayed by her side saying goodbye during those 48 hours despite being injured himself as a consequence of the accident. After the 48 hours passed she was taken away so they could remove her organs, and my friend was moved to a separate room with another patient to begin his own recovery. As soon as he was walking into this room, the other patient turned on the radio and "Just Like Heaven" started to sound. It might be a coincidence, but we prefer to believe it was her way of saying goodbye to him.
Anyway, I will be attending to the concert The Cure will be performing in Bilbao during the BBK 2012 festival tomorrow and I would really appreciate it if Robert or anyone in the band would dedicate the song to him when they play it. His name is Ramon and I know he would be eternally grateful.
