The Cure

Newbie to your lovely forum says HI and asks...

I bet this has already been asked, but I can't see a sticky thread anywhere!

Before I get stuck in, I'll introduce myself : )
My name is Yasmin Selena Butt. I'm a London lass and have been a huge fan of alternative music since I was 12. The Cure have been one of my all time fave bands for a good few decades. I always get excited when a new album comes out.

I'm a writer and my debut novel GUNSHOT GLITTER came out last month. I have a blog on Wordpress and before quitting my Marketing career to focus on words full-time used to love promoting up and coming bands in London.

Music is a HUGE part of my life!

Right back to The Cure.
I'd love to know what everyone else's fave Cure songs are. Mine change everyday to be honest but today they are:

1. Doing The Unstuck
2 La ment
3. All Cats Are Grey
4. Disintegration
5. The Loudest Sound

I love the positivity of Doing The Unstuck - whenever my friends are having a crap time I send them a You Tube video of the song. I get annoyed when people say The Cure are depressing, some of the most joyous music I've ever heard has been penned by them.

There aren't any sticky threads here apart from the 'mod' ones that are at the top of certain forums (long story...).

My favourites are;
Burn
This Twilight Garden
Others are subject to change ;-)

Hmm, my favorite songs today are:
~Homesick
~Fear Of Ghosts
~2Late
~Last Dance
~Sirensong
~Underneath The Stars

I had a long drive home today and listened to these songs along the way. :D

Burn is a GREAT song!
I remember being really excited when I heard that when I watched The Crow at the cinema, I do believe I got the soundtrack for that song : ) Thanks for the welcome x

Hello Yasmin welcome! I'm new here also. You're into some interesting things. You have a novel out, great! Where can we buy it? Good luck with your writing. I do a little writing, poetry and songwriting. You say you used to promote bands? I'm sure that was quite interesting. I used to be in a band. It's a long story, good times bad times. I could write a book about my time in a band. :)Back to the Cure. It's really hard to pick favourite Cure songs. But here are some of my favourites:
