Re: PUBS AND STORES RELATED TO THE CURE IN LONDON

sorry, maybe I didn´t choose the wright word. I would like to know about a nice place where I can buy some songbooks, CDs, biography books and things like that. I also would like to know if there is some kind of pub or club that I could find the same "dark spirit" as I have dreamed, for many years, find in London, like we can see the Cure CDs, Long Plays and photos. For me, The Cure is the best band on earth and I really would like to visit places like I ´ve described. Sorry my english and thank you very much for your atencion.

Isn't Crawley close-ish to London? That's where they started, you may find something there :)

Hmm, I think that the only things you will find to buy will be the main cd's :-( Most of my Cure stuff has either been bought at Cure concerts or off eBay etc. In London though you may find some record shops but they won't likely be in the main parts of London and I wouldn't know where they would be to tell you :-( I wish you luck finding some nice Cure things though!

Crawley would be a couple of buses from London I think, but it's do-able!

If you want a club/pub that play alternative music look in a london guide like Time Out,a weekly mag, it used to be really good when I was a student in London, but I don't think the type of music you like is such a big thing in the clubs now, for photos and vinyl you should try the markets like camden,or vinyl record shops, not many around but you can find them.

Re: PUBS AND STORES RELATED TO THE CURE IN LONDON

The Cure played many of there early gigs at their local pub The Rocket in Crawley. It has been refurbished a couple of times since then and is also now called The Railway.

Possibly the best pub to visit is the Hope & Anchor in Islington which is a short tube (underground railway/subway) ride fron the centre of London. Live bands stilln regulary play there.

Re: PUBS AND STORES RELATED TO THE CURE IN LONDON

For a general alternative night out (which sometimes includes the occasional Cure song) I'd recommend Inferno Night at the Electric Ballroom in Camden. That night is the first Friday of each month (from memory) and when we went we had a fantastic time!!

Is the time machine made out of a DeLorean? If so, we will need extra plutonium..we may want to jump around years.

Oohh, time and space travel? now you're talkin'! I'm a bit of a space/universe geek. If I had the math skills I'd be an astrophysicist or something like that! Yeah, things did get really fun @ 1983. So get this Cats.. in the states we have a lottery called Powerball and it's a multi-state lottery. The jackpot was $500+ million dollars a few weeks ago. I bought 10 tickets and had almost all the numbers. I won $7. So, the next week later I tried my luck again and bought 7 tickets. I had EVERY number , however, they were not on the same ticket! AAhh! Soo close! But, when I win I will share with you to fund our time/space travels :)

They are heartbreaking! I will share the wealth if I ever win as well :) There is a tv show here called "Lottery Ruined My Life" And these people win big jackpots, then blow it all on drugs and end up in jail. Some people have won multiple times..how do they do it?

Lotteries are heartbreaking!! I've never won more than £10 lol!! But I'll pool any winnings I get!!
They are heartbreaking! I will share the wealth if I ever win as well :) There is a tv show here called "Lottery Ruined My Life" And these people win big jackpots, then blow it all on drugs and end up in jail. Some people have won multiple times..how do they do it?

And usually the ones who win are the ones who squander!! I'd definitely donate some to charity

Maybe we should, on the surface, plan to squander it, then when we win a ton of cash we can donate lol!

Possibly, but the Tardis is bigger so if I see it first I 'll borrow that, plus you can travel through space in it...sure we should all stick together, between us we should remember all the best times to revisit, party on!! Mmm if only I could find the keys..
Oohh, time and space travel? now you're talkin'! I'm a bit of a space/universe geek. If I had the math skills I'd be an astrophysicist or something like that! Yeah, things did get really fun @ 1983. Please give me a week to get to England to meet up with you. Don't like planes, so I will take a boat ;) My broom stick doesn't make Trans-Atlantic flights :) haha
I've been reading my star charts to plan possible routes, but I've never been the best at understanding them so perhaps one of you should navigate! Will happily meet in England but I don't live there, don't like planes? no problem, I'll ask Poseidon to help out!! he owes me...

Ok, I will try to navigate the heavens...we will probably get lost outside of our galaxy....oh well, I will do my best! Besides, we have all the time in the world! Help from Poseidon would happily be appreciated :) When Cat's or I win the lottery, we will have plenty of funds for our travels!
