THEN AND NOW

First time I saw Cure live, was in Oslo 1992. A great concert, even though I was in my experimental youth period and had dropped some bad acid that ruined some of the experience. (I remember CRANES warming up, which was also fantastic).

Then ten years would pass by. I grew more and more in love with The Cure, but didn't get to see them again until Arvika Festival 2002. It was awesome, and two years later me and some friends drove from Norway to France just to see two concerts, in Six Fours and Aix les Bains. Two magical nights that I will always remember.

2005: A friend and I travel to Berlin to see them again at Wuhlheide. We know that we are in for a treat (or else we wouldn't have travelled from Norway), but I had no idea what I was about to experience.
In this concert, The Cure just took their live performance to a completely new level, with 3 hours and 5 minutes - 31 fucking songs!
The last ten songs we all thought we were dreaming. And when they came back on stage for the 3rd or 4th time and played FAITH, I almost couldn't believe it. One of the happiest moments of my life (and it's been a very happy one).

Since that day I've been a Cure fanatic, and I have travelled all over the place to see them again and again. What a band... And what a LIVE band! I don't know of any other bands that actually play better concerts now than EVER after so many years.

Please don't ever stop, Cure.
