Smaller shops won't stock everything released, last year there were new tracks by some bands- arctic monkeys- and re released stuff, The Cure released their first 5 albums on vinyl, limited edition 2000 copies each worldwide, some EP's, albums only had 200 copies, so you have to be lucky to get some things. They haven't released the list of who's agreed to participate this year yet, but its getting pretty popular, my friend's hoping for something by Iron Maiden...who knows he might be lucky.

Re: Record store day April 20I think it is a pity so many smaller independent stores are closing, and for record stores I think this idea has generated a lot of interest. Its not just for those people who have record players, although a lot of stuff is on vinyl, the albums I bought last year included a voucher for a MP3 version of the album, which in The Cure's case were albums remastered by Robert from the original tapes.

Last year it ranged from a couple of hundred copies of some singles to, in the case of The Cure, 2500 worldwide, after all I think they'd want to sell more than that of a new album! But I don't think you are averse to buying remastered albums, don't you own Faith deluxe edition? You may not be interested in KM KM KM, but there is plenty of other music, check out the list, it will only waste 10 mins of your time at worst..DN2Patricia wrote:
