who wanted to see the best band on the planet play in a wonderful tiny venue! (it's not *that* big a deal that they happen to be famous, really, well.. it put them in a better light, if anything! So..you went to the KROQ thing too? The Cure sounded great that night too. It seemed so surreal and fitting, when my friend and I came up out of that place and into the lobby to see the rain pouring down. I laughed at the aptness of it..I was quite delighted... : ) Did you see Paramour play? I really was amazed at the humility the lead singer had...she had words to the effect of: "The last time we played here in LA we really were awful.. hope we're better this time." ; not seeming at all like she was so "High in the sky looking down at the rabble" she played like she was just one of us and she just happened to be the singer. The Killers playing "Shadowplay" was really really fun for me, too... I totally want to go to LA to see more musical acts, the vibe there is so much cooler than in in south-er southern Cal. : )

It was soo cool to see them in that place. I remember waking up at 7am because I couldnt sleep and seeing the announcement of them playing that venue. I'm from Florida so I had to clue as to the size or anything. My niece and I got there around 11am and were 54 and 55 in line. More than shocked not more people showed up! What number were you? My niece took those photos with her phone. I scooted closer and she stayed back with our friend Angie. I did not want it to end. Right before Freakshow Simon said "how about you?" to me and without sounding weird I was giddy. haha oh to see them play somewhere that size again...Did you see any celebs there? We seen Ryan Gosling and other random musicians. I had sleep issues too, being exhausted from excitement and not able to sleep before those days/nights---who was I trying to kid? And I'm 43!... guess age has little to do with being a fan...It is so *cool* to read how far you traveled to see them!!! WooHOO!! Good for you!! : D And your obvious love of the cure. : ) So, three hours (3 1/2?) wasn't enough for ya?? lol! I do know what you mean...another fan on here was talking about how seeing them live was "pure bliss"...oh yeah... How exciting that Simon talked to you! I would have had your same reaction, no doubt!! As to seeing them play somewhere that size again...them playing there was something close to miraculous...I thnk that probably won't happen again any time soon. I saw Gerard Way just standing on the floor by one of the walls with a beautiful girl at his side...that was pretty cool...he's a favorite of my 15 yr old daughter and all I could remember was "My Chemical Romance" not his name...I should have gone up anyway and asked for an autograph for her...oh well... somebody told me that Kristen Dunst was up in the balcony..

It was neat going to the link you had and seeing that perspective of the stage... Ahh...it was so unreal, wasn't it?...didn't it seem strange when they played a few of their hits in that tiny place? Unbelievable... I was delighted to come to your profile and see your other pics, too, though! I really like the one you have of Robert. : ) Thanks for sharing!

i'm flying to vegas from atlanta, thursday evening. My mom will meet me at the the vegas airport (she's coming from tucson). this concert is an early birthday gift from my mom. i love the band, and wish i could see them on sunday, but i guess seeing them once is better than nothing at all :)

Hummm, I've never thought about approaching the staff of the band or the security guards. Yeah, it's worth trying, but I'm such a coward that I think I'll be shy away from talking to them face to face. And I have no idea when and how I talk to them. Will you help me? Thank you very much for the presale code. I know you think that someone else might have done it, but you were the one who posted the code. It's a nice quality that you are so humble though. Those are great pictures in your gallery. What was it like meeting Jason? Were you able to meet Robert, Porl, and Simon too? I would love to meet the band. How were you able to do it? I was thinking of trying to get a picture and autograph after the Las Vegas concert, but I don't know how patient my husband is going to be or if there will be much of a chance.
