yeah, it's much farther than Montreal :( It's so cool that Glimmy gets to see them twice, that's a dream come true if you ask me! I'm holding out..there's gotta be some good show karma coming my way :) Hospital job..no go. It involves seeing sick little kids all day at a children's hospital. I'd be a bawling mess. Like with the Cure shows, I'm holding out for something better. Texas might be too hot for this lil' lady :) I'd melt for sure..I'm a 50-60 degree kinda gal! haha!

I'm applying to all sorts of medical jobs, something will pan out! "Nothing left but Faith" LOL! We've had a fair amount of sunshine over here, warms temps @ 70. I'm starting my herb garden right about now, so I hope it stays warm, I don't need dead basil in the middle of June :( I will send some nice weather your way! I have no flipping clue about show dates either, it seems it's all festivals and none are close to me except Chicago or Montreal..eh, is there any hope? I guess we could hope for fall? Are you still coming to San Francisco with your family round then? Hugs! :)

I love this video!! In reality, I'm a zombie girl wearing a mask that looks like this, haha! Looks like a fun party too ;) Yay! There is light at the end of the work tunnel of hell for me..I may be starting a new job in hospital pharmacy very soon and I'm so happy! Retail is costing me my sanity! Just hope there are more shows announced soon so I can figure out if I need any days off. Beautiful weather here, I hope your weekend is lovely! BTW the Kentucky Derby is going on this weekend, shoulda put some big bucks down on a horse...share my winnings with you! haha, we could buy The Cure and have a private show! Hugs!

Too bad about KM KM KM, but wow, The Glove?! That's so exciting! I've never been able to get any of their albums sadly :( I hope you got a good price for it! I've never heard of Dry The River, what do they sound like? Glimmer and I are thinking there are some new show announcements just around the bend, I'm trying to be positive!! Have a great week! :D

hahha! That's so awesome that you won a little something! Movies are crazy expensive here anymore. A night out costs at least $25 (tix, snacks, drinks) I played the MegaMillions lottery a few months back. The jackpot was somehing like $583 Million (biggest ever) I played 10 tickets and got all of the numbers but one. However none of the numbers were on the same ticket!! Pisser! Agh, I was so upset! haha! I have a record player, but it's so old it really doesn't work well so I just stick with cd's or online music, but, there's nothing like a shiny black record!! ahh, I miss it! Have fun at the movies sweetie!

yeah, if a new album is being made, then a tour will surely follow :) I'm not too sure about the other bands playing Lollpalooza. I guess it would have to be a bunch of bands I care about, and there are just not that many anymore. If it meant waiting for an new album and a Cure only tour, I could wait ages!!! Hey, 5th out of 40?? not too shabby! Did you win and $? I would have picked Rare Bob too! Good choice! I hope you're having a great weekend, it really is starting to feel like spring here. Temp. is @ 65-70 so I'm changing my decorations to springy stuff and doing some cleaning, listening to good music too :)

I'm on the fencepost about Chicago. It's so hot here that time of year and I'm not sure I can stand hours of heat and sun :( I'm holding on to hope of a Cure only gig, but it's looking like a festival only year...what to do, what to do?? I'm gonna hold out for better things I think?

KM KM KM Finally! That's one of my favorites and I just re-purchased it last year, my old one was so scratched it just sounded so fuzzy. It was well used! Oh you have to get it on vinyl! Red vinyl at that,I'm so jealous! let me know how it goes. I'd love to see that as part of the next Trilogy (hopeful) Keep me posted :D

Feeling a little better every day thank you:D I'm just being a lazy girl and not worrying too much about anything. I envy your 11 days of!!! Nice people make all the difference in the workplace. Yes, perhaps a drunken state would change our perspectives on those songs! I left a note on Robert's page (if he ever reads it)about the lullabies and it being a new direction for the band, LOL. I'm sure he would do a beautiful job :) Have a lovely day at work, I go back tomorrow and I'm just not gonna care about anything :) Take care :)

feeling a slight bit better, I'm just getting lots of rest and thankfully don't work until Monday! Yay! I should be back to my old self or close to by then. It's interesting to see what people think about the lullabies. I thought "This Charming Man" sounded dead on..It made me laugh :) I like The Smiths in general, that's probably one of my favorite songs. Oh, that sounds like a long work week for you..I hope it goes fast! Do you work long hours? My days are stressful and hectic, any time not being there is blissful :)

I'm off today too, but I've caught a nasty cold and am just laying around the house taking it easy. I think children may be a slight bit disturbed by some of those songs...Creepy indeed! Some of the songs are so filled with bells and chimes that you can't tell what the song is! Hahaha! Those shows were really fun, and the attention was the last thing I expected..it all just happened and felt surreal. I must say, Robert's presence in real life is beautiful, sweet and warm :) And Simon f*ing rocks!!! Perhaps they will play in the US when you are here and you could catch a show then? Well, my cold medicine is kicking in..off to dreamland, no lullabies needed for this lady! Goodnight ;)

That's a funny post, I guess those lullabies are working on us! I will have to listen to Lithium! Do you think they have permission to use those songs? Yeah, I've spent serious $ on tix, but they were for my 30th birthday (a good excuse)...it was front row, right in front of Simon (he kept smiling at me) and it was worth it! A birthday treat! But it was still not as good as 2004 Curiosa when Mr. Smith came over to me and I blew a kiss to him, he just stared and then gave me the most beautiful smile, then came back and sang "Close To Me" to me. That was totally worth the $!!!! You should listen to the Metallica and Queen lullabies too, it's hilarious!

$1000, OMG that's ridiculous, as much as I love them, noooo, I thought our tickets were expensive enough but nothing compared to that! Haven't listened to Journey tracks, will do later in the week, when I'm not so tired- no joke intended- Lithium just sounds like a load of bells ringing, anyway hoping we'll have some news soon and neither of us has to travel too far, and we have the best tickets with back stage passes, oops that Lithium track really has got me dreaming! that was impossible for me to go. My sister was having her baby then and I wanted to be there for her. Also, it was too far to travel and the whole combined trip with the tix I wanted would have been well over $1,000. Then I was hoping they would have gotten to the Rock Hall of Fame so I could see them then (it's 2 hours from me) but alas, that was not meant to be. Oh, well, they're too good for that place anyway! Eh, I will just settle for a private tour :)

*Yawn* this is making me sleeepy! I've listened to a few different bands on you tube, it's hard to tell what some of these songs are. "Don't Stop Belevin" by Journey was killing me! I like Nirvana as a band, however, they are not lullaby material!;) I'm listening to "Lullaby" right now and am falling asleep. Your'e right, it's totally the cover artwork to "Wish". It's pretty, but how did these people get permission to do all of these covers? I'd like to introduce my little niece to The Cure someday but when I do, it will be their music, not a cover :) So, if you are here around the end of Nov. (after our Thanksgiving) with shopping on the brain, you will find tons of good sales (Black Friday) but be prepared to battle crazy people! They go nuts for pre-Christmas sales here. It's scary! It's everyone for themselves! Bring an extra suitcase just for your purchases! Perhaps a show after you get back?!

I sure will, do you have a link? I've heard several commercial jingles that I SWEAR are Cure rip-offs. One was for Breath~asure Fresh Strips (mints) and the bass line to the song was "Other Voices" I was angry! It's an unmistakable bass line! It's not a song that the general public would recognize. Another one recently was for a mattress sale, the song in the background was very faint, but it was a girl humming an electro sounding version of "Lets Go To Bed". A fitting song for a mattress sale, yet , still a rip-off! :) How's the vacation planning going? I haven't scheduled anything yet, I thought there would be more dates announced by now. Arrgh :)

San Francisco would be a really nice choice. My cousin lives there right now and he loves it. Hmm, boyfriends may impede the shopping experience indeed :)I've never been there myself but would love to go someday. Maybe we will hear some tour news in the next few weeks...hopefully :)

I too am impatiently waiting for news of more shows...you aren't alone!! I have something like 3 weeks of vacation time and I know that as soon as I schedule it, they will announce dates NOT during my time off! Arrgh! Take care :)
