You should probably stop learning TABs. Sure, they easier to get a hold of then actually music, but not only is music acceptable in the gig world, but it shows you many things tabs can't such as rhythms etc. You can't learn a song you've never heard with TABs alone.

TMBG was the thing. They came to my hometown for a show. They didn't fill the venue so it was moved to a smaller one. I waited right after school till doors opened to get front row. I drew portraits of the Johns and made a sign to hold up during the show. Between songs, skinny John came to the mike, looked at me and said, "can you put that sign down? you're distracting me." later, they started the conga line and told me to "loose my place in the crowd."

So I saw that you were telling another boardie about the book "The Little Prince" a while back. I just finished that book today and it was A-MAZING. I cried at the end, but I've been a bit of an emotional wreck lately anyway. I thought it was fantastic and had so many great lines and really made me think about the things I focus on as an adult that don't really matter that much. Great book, and I'm glad someone I know has read it as well. :)
