I thought it was pretty epic...lol so here! "Simon finished packing. Ever since Robert, his own true love, had been lost at sea, Simon had been gothic. There was nothing left for him anymore, nothing thumped him, all was fattening. So today, Valentine's Day, he was go...ing in a faberge egg to become a Roman beer. Just then, there was a steamy knock at the door. Simon opened it and stood there wangstily for a moment, before falling to the floor in a swoon and bruising his uvula. When Simon came to, Robert was holding his hair and looking beady. "My love," Robert said voluptuously, "I'm sorry for the malevolent shock. I've been shipwrecked on an icy island for the last ten years, living like the smell of a waxing gibbous moon. I was only rescued last week." He paused. "I lost my frontal lobe in the wreck. Can you still love me?" Simon could hardly believe his Robert had returned. "I will always love you, frontal lobe or no frontal lobe. Besides, you can cover it up with a Mall of America." They embraced attractively and vowed to never be parted again. And all was enraging."

Have you gotten the chance to read her letter to you yet? It made me cry. It truly did. I'm siting here sobbing as I type. you know, The Cure the kind of band that humbles the listener with the realness and profoundity (is this a word? whatever..), but understands and helps them cope at the same time. You bridge the gap so perfectly. Reading her letter (though it's extremely long, I hope you read it all) really made me realize what a truly amazing thing you've created. You've broken and healed hearts, repaired wounds thought too deep to repair, written us into a world of not only your fantasies and desires, but ours too. I can't put into exact words exactly how you've affected everyone who chose to listen to the "weird goth band" as some people I know say it. I'm only 15, and I'm completely obsessed with The Cure, and I own nearly every studio album (except Wild Mood Swings) you've put out and love it all. I sometimes imagine what I would say to you (or any of the band) if I randomly saw you on the street. Imagining that freaked me out tho, because I could never be as interesting or awesome as you :) I would also spend my entire paycheck from this summer to see The Cure perform and I wouldn't care (especially because I've never seen you play live) I don't want you to feel like "holy shit I feel weird knowing people love me that much O.o ...", but, in the words of one of my other favorite bands (Kill Hannah, also Cure-inspired, the song is Snowblinded, cheesy amazing love song. you should check them out, they have a great new album I think you might appreciate) "I just want you to know how much I care". I don't know how else to say it. But I know I'm not the only one who would KILL to see you live at least one time. I also know that you're prolly one of the most busy guys EVER and that you love your down-time, so I would give up that one opportunity to see The Cure if only to let you all to just be quiet for a while (everyone needs alone time). anyways, if you read this, sorry for taking up some of your time by ranting about how freaking amazing I think you are :P thanks! xoxo

Thanks so much for letting everyone know!!! Disintegration is my absolute favorite album by the Cure. that and Wish and Seventeen Seconds, two albums I was just recently able to get haha :) I have a question that you probably won't answer because your super busy and have no time for insignificant 15 year old fans *shrugs* haha. anyways, I have the Cure on shuffle right now, and it played Fire In Cairo then The Reasons Why. Do you ever listen to your old material (or any of your music) and think something like, "that's RIGHT, I've come so far, created so much beautiful music that touched so many people, I never thought I would affect so many lives in an amazing way. I never thought that people would follow a band I'm part of so lovingly and with good reason"? This is my obscure-ish way of saying thanks I guess, thanks so much for writing the world music that's beautiful in every single way and saving peoples lives and writing the soundtrack to the way the world works. Also for enduring the people like me who simply adores The Cure and has no shame in letting you know ;) thanks!

I don't know if you read your page or not, but on the chance that you do: I just wanted to thank you for stopping by, leaving such wonderful news, and letting us all know that there are such delectable things in store for Cure fans in the coming year. :) I'm excited for the Disintegration remaster, of course, but I'm also very thrilled to know that you're releasing those two epic concerts on DVD! And 'Mixed Up 2', as in a new CD of remixes, and...? It's like an early Christmas! :)

It must take forever to go through all that material and get everything just right. The love and care you put into the beautiful deluxe editions really comes through. It's wonderful to listen to the remastered studio recordings - but it's also such a treat to hear the demos and live versions from around the same period. It's really cool that you've "CURE-ated" those extra special bits for us. I really enjoy them! I'm especially looking forward to "Show" and "The Cure in Orange" on DVD!!!!!!!! SQUEEEEEEEE!!!! YAY!!!!!!! I hope you'll also consider releasing "Play Out" on DVD - and perhaps also all the little in-between bits from the "Staring at the Sea" and "Picture Show" VHS video versions. I love your music videos, but the live performance and candid/home movies of you guys just goofing around or hanging out are my favorite parts - they're just precious! Thank you very much in advance for all the cool stuff I know you're working on. Please know so many of us genuinely appreciate your efforts and truly love your amazing music. Understood!!! I think it's been nearly 2 months since the "cure forum" was closed but it never crossed my mind that something "this good" was happening... I mean, I always check this site for the bit that matters, that is to say, the news, Robert's posts, tour dates etc and I need to admit that it feels so good the fact that there is "almost" no none sense dirtying up cure.com, or silly stories, or foolish lines showing up nothing more than sex disorders, or the usual boring " I love you,wanna fuck you Robert X million times... I mean , all of that better suits other bands web pages, like for example Sugar babes or whatever they are called... Hey, but even them have no fans who seem absolutely sick in the mind!!!Thankyou, anyone who decided to give the forum better life!!! At least someone realized that The Cure.com is The Cure and not a free site where people can come and cry their misery and show off the shit that takes them down... I just happened to check Robert's profile by mistake, cause I know there's nothing interesting here, and even his info is incorrect but then I came across all of these same old ridiculous speeches and babble... i want more perfect moments. like watching the cure play onstage. it all unfolds under raw lights with the black pit of people watching inside it. when shall we see you again? i try to be without curiosity, but it always comes back again. i ask, yet i know very well that the question won't be answered until time. UM, you know like when you leave somewhere forever that you know you will never come back. it kind of hurts you to see it knowing you know its the last time/ i hope the cure never ends or it'd be nausea everyday like this. Oh well, a Pentalogy concert would be marvelous. Including splitted parts of Faith, Seventeen Seconds, Pornography, Disintegration and Bloodflowers. Wishful thinking, that would go beyond the scope of every setlist. I often tried reducing my favourite Cure-songs to a rational number, but always failed. So I try to be not too disappointed if The Cure address their live material only to the broad masses.

RS have you thought about doing another trilogy like live set? Maybe with a twist... Instead of playing them back to back, just play a different record in full per night from one of these over the course of 3 nights in each town or just play one full record per town...I'd follow you from NY to NJ to PA etc etc Faith Seventeen Seconds The Top The Head on the Door Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me I'd pass on the long show time to hear one of these played in full...of course kmx3 is longer but still... !
