I absolutely agree with Robert that free music is not the best idea, and it actually robs musicians. But these "millions" of bucks you speak about are also part of the game. Haven't you noticed there's a huge disrepancy - you can buy a semiprofessional euipment for couple of grants. At the same time the "fully - professional" studio time costs like thousands of grants. Why? All I'm saying is that the price of producing a good sounding product BY ALL MEANS doesn't have to go sky high!!! Again this is speculative and against the musicians. So, production and postproduction could be made far cheaper, promotion COULD REALY be made cheaper. Why are they still so expensive? Some fat ass in the music industry simply refuses to face the reality and thinks it's still the 80's.
