Hi, i agree about summer colds. its been so warm in england this year, i live in the so uth east,and its always the warmest part of the country. if you ever see a map of britain, you will see the further north you go the colder it gets. i must say im not really a sun lover. i think when my family emigrated to australia when i was 15 we went to western australia, and that is the hottest part of the country,apart from when you go to the middle of the country, where ayres rock is in the desert. my dad used to call me a vampire, cos i would come home from work and shut myself in my bedroom in the dark with the air con on. i think its cos it was so hot and i had never experienced weather like that. i love autumn and winter. when its all misty and frost everywhere i stand in my garden and say to my husband that i love that weather. he laughs and thinks im mad. we go on holiday greece and spain and cyprus each year and 2 weeks of that is enough for me!. i said about my email cos ive read on some of the posts that quite a few people email each other rather than have other people reading their messages like this. i really would like to find out a lot more about canada, cos i really want to go for a holiday, also my husband is thinking about taking a 2 year contract to work there. of course i will go with him, and just thought in emails you can tell me more about your country, than writing long messages like this. its up to you. i really hope you get better real soon , cos of your work. ive flown back and forth to australia alone 21 times in 15 years, and i know when you have colds or flu it makes you feel worse. maybe cos of the cabin pressure and that you dont breathe fresh air. its usually a 23 hour trip, so although i dont work like you do, it does make you feel worse.well ive written you half a book! sorry.looking forward to hearing from you when you have time. look after yourself. you can email if you want.. all the best to you, Susan x ps if we get any news of concerts, we can always meet up ,cos ive gone to different countries to see the cure. i supose it depends where they might play. that would be nice. just be nice to hear some news soon.

Hi sarah, hope your keeping well and work is good. its nice you get to spend time in New York! cant believe its nearly weekend again, time is just going so quick this year. my daughter is going to help me sort some pictures out but she has been so busy, she works in central london and dont get home till 8pm most nights, and she usually is out and about with her husband on weekend. the football season has started now, and her hubby plays for 2 teams so i will try and get her round this weekend. Hi, sarah, thanks for your last message. ive been trying to remember where my son goes in canada. he is away at the moment, so will ask him when he gets home. i know its a big british army base. he is a mechanic and fixes all the tanks and armoured vehicles then they get sent straight back to Iraq and Afghanistan. when he is on his tours he drives warrior tanks, and does recovery work, where one of ours has been damaged or blown up. he also goes on patrol looking for the enemy. thats why im worrying already, cos he will be gone in a couple of months. its just 7 months of me living on edge. never mind. my husband has had some really good job offers in canada and we have been thinking about it. he can have a 2 year contract. only trouble is getting someone to look after our house, and it would be empty for all that time. we are still thinking about it. you asked my favourite cure album and i must say Pornography, but kiss me, and Disintergration come really close. it is hard to choose just 1. i hope all is going well for you and work is ok. my daughter is going to come round soon and show me how to put some pictures on my profile. should be fun. Hi, i hope your weekend is going well. im not sure if you work weekends, but if you do i hope all is good at work too. my son has been to canada 3 times, he is in british army,and there is a big army base he goes to. he loves it, and ive always wanted to visit canada so might think about a trip in new year. im having a bit of down time right now cos my son is of to afghanistan in a couple of months and it worries me that bad i dont sleep for weeks. this is where the cure come in i have the head phones on every night blasting my head, but it takes my mind of the danger my son is in . god i hope this war ends soon. take care. xxx susan.

hi, sarah, glad to know i didnt give you a headache. when i said i have not been to a concert with my kids for 7 years, my husband and me have been to 4 in that time but on our own these times. we did get some funny looks when we all used to be in the bar before the show, but let people work it out . its strange only just finding out your cousin is into the cure as well,but at least when you do see each other you can have a good chat. i hope your keeping well. i wish we will hear something soon about what the boys are up to, it seems like ages for us but i guess they deserve a break. robert is probably one of the most private people in the music world. if you think about it, you never read much about him in newspapers or magazines, i suppose that is one of the things that make him who he is. x

just read your lovely comments. ive thought about a lot since i joined this site, and i cant remember a time when i wasnt a cure fan. its been so long and like i said i involved my kids from a young age. i divorced my husband when i was 23, so my kids were all i had so we would sit up all weekend watching staring at the sea video and jumping round the room to killing an arab. im just lucky that they enjoyed it as much as me cos we would sit up till the early hours singing and dancing. my daughter when she was 8 used to play last dance all the time cos that was her fave song, thinking about it now its a really haunting kind of song and i cant imagine kids now days liking this kind of music. we have not been to a concert all together for 7 years now cos my son is 31 and married and will be of to afghanistan in 2 months cos hes in the army, and my daughter is 27 and newly married so she i busy with work and her new house. im sure they will fit in another concert with me its just getting the timing right. sorry about raving on, its just nice to talk to someone with the same interest. x hope ive not given you headache!

Heya! Nice to hear from you. Did you have fun on your trip? Did you stop by the skeleton church? ESP, hmmm...you're writing from Santa Monica, maybe?? :)

I didn't get to Toronto after all. There was just no way to swing it with my schedule/finances. It's a bummer, but they are supposedly doing more publicity with the book closer to home, so hopefully I will be participating in that. One of the big indie bookstores here has already expressed interest in doing an event. :) And hopefully I'll also make it to Toronto at some point anyway, because I really would like to see the city.

I put the workplace on my resume but I think it will be ok now because I just called there to talk to one of the guys who worked there, when I did, and he had no problem being my reference. I was let go from that company with no valid reason during my probation period so I didn't want to use them as a reference (obviously!) I am feeling more relieved now, that if Eastern Health calls there, Rick will give me a good reference. What a sweetie!

Sounds like you didn't get much time to lounge around in your PJs :/ Where you off to next for work? The interview went well but I am worried about a certain reference they asked for (this workplace was not one of my references given on my resume) I don't know why they would want that one in particular. So I'm not feeling totally positive at this point.

It's probably better off that you didn't go on a shopping spree in Toronto. You can easily spend 100's of dollars on clothes alone. I really miss my favourite clothing store tho - H & M. I LOVE it but we don't get it here :( When is your birthday missy? So I can wish you a great one properly ;) I hope you ended up in your pjs not long after you posted to me.
