in fact Peake was an artist before being a writer, and he illustrated books by the Alice in Wonderland books, for example. I really advise you to get copies of Gormenghast illustrated by him, you'll discover what Steerpike, Flay and all the others look like... Btw, I'll soon be able to save my MA thesis on my hard drive, so I'll let you know on CCC when you can read it ;)

I do feel more mature than most of my peers and yeah thats probably true about people my age who like the cure, before the cure i liked music, now i love it. I definetly glad i discovered their music. I can understand going through that time not having what i have to relate to, but at least yu eventually found it, growing up is hard there is no doubt about it but like you say as cure fans we are a bit odd and out of certain social circles yet when we come together in a place like this we create our own and itsnice to find people who sure the same interests. Just knowing there are others out there makes me feel better, and yes difference is important and doesnt necessarily mean bad, its just a shame more people dont realise this. Its important to be who we really are.

Thats one good thing about the internet i suppose when it is put to good use like this, i suppose being a cure fan chances are you might be a bit unusual and the odd one out but it isnt always a bad thing. Im just glad i finally found and joined a site like this, where the majority seem very nice, it brings me happy thoughts to know there are others out there.

Im glad you did, im usually the same, shy and the like but you seemed like a nice person. i love the pop songs and stuff but the deeper darker stuff speaks to something inside of me and i love it, the figurehead is like poetry the whole album is, and that pic of rob just perfectly relfects the time, the darkness i think. i hope you do either draw or paint it. So like i say it is nice to meet someone like-minded its hard to find people my age who have my taste in music, its a shame.

I havent listened to every song properly but what i do know it is a beautiful album, i completely understand i have to be in a certain mood to listen to it, the songs being long and epic, watching me fall is one of my more understated favourites, i love it but i dont listen to it very often, im just waiting for the right moment to listen to the album all the way through, maybe when i buy the cd ill just sit back, relax and listen

yes our taste does seem similiar i am also very into those albums at the minute, the first cd i was thinking of buying was KMKMKM and i have the others on my mp3 player, also the join the dots is on it too but i would like to have the discs as well so i have actually thought about possibly asking for it as a christmas present. I completely understand aboout the mood thing, my preferences also change with how i am feeling and being a teenager pornography definetly speaks to me.

well ive been a fan since i was 15 and a bit and it was my 16 birthday at the end of june this year, so not very long! i heard Burn on the the crow ,which is now my favourite film, probably around the autumn of last year. I started listening to some of their other stuff when i got my sister to download disintegration, faith and pornography to my mp3 player and have listened to most of their other stuff and either love it or like it alot and am now obsessed and a massive fan! I absolutely love the pornography album, i wouldnt say it was my favourite because thats a very hard decision to make but its easily one of them. Oh and thank you for taking an interest
