Have you heard of this film? Its is quite violent, it goes from moments of complete calm where nothing happens and it all seems so mundane, then it becomes all violent and disturbing. Its all necessary because violence can only be dealt with violence in return, its a tiny bit confusing at times (something i REALLY hate) why all these sudden deaths occur without explaination and its quite scary the force behind it, but its all to do with a weird catharsis. Its such pity though how it happens and i don't want to watch it again, i'll ask HMV for a refund again...i still don't like the savagery of Violent Cop...not as cool as dirty harry or as watchable.

I heard of that one, its more of personal depth to it then the others, i heard it has more of a minimalist approach than the other film characters did, and how was it more visually based. I think i can understand why from the violence of the other films the director toned it down more and tried to make the film more art-house or more airy-fairy....but i prefer things to just a bit more clear and concise. Oh well...i think i will give it miss and i won't tell other people, i don't think i can be bothered recommending films to people anymore, it always comes back to bit me on the ass.

Its a good film, i saw it ages ago, its has some really good scenes and is quite violent but has a cool storyline and morality to it, and has quite a lot of themes to it, like how childish they are all together, but its sad at the ending though about what he does. Have you seen Sypmathy for the underdog? I saw that before Sonatine and i prefer it to be honest, its more structured and makes more sense about everything that happens in the end, though it is bloody and i can understand the thinking behind it and almost reason with it...almost. The director did Battle Royale, which everybody knows and loves.
