Well have a very happy birthday tomorrow which is also my younger sisters birthday! So I also have a day off as we are all going for a day out shopping and some, hopefully, nice food! I shall have a birthday drink for you,as well then, LOL.I do work in a hospital, in a paediatric emergency department, which is a really nice place to work,I trained in a childrens' hospital and have worked in a few since then so I'm a bit biased!! But I know what you mean about it not being for everyone,my friends husband works in mental health, which I think is a really hard job. Have a great vacation

Birthday, it must be soon, or you've just had it as a Gemini, hope you have/had a great time! How's the job hunting going? don't let the childrens' hospital put you off if you like the department, they are really nice places to work, most of the little ones are pretty OK,not a sad place to work at all. What's the magazine cover you've posted for? looks interesting Have a good week.

That name isn't half bad!! :-)

It seems to be the same with a few British bands, they seem to play less gigs in England and concentrate on (usually) mainland Europe. They seem to forget that it was the home fans who were there when they were starting out and struggling! Sadly the way of things I think
Posted by cats_n_cheese on 5/12/2013 2:50 PM (GMT-04:00)
She's a big country music fan so that was the theme! She had some bands playing and the last one, a group of young local lads, played metal!! Haaaaa!! All the Dollies dancing to that!! So funny :-) my weekend is nearly over, nearly 8pm here. Hope your Sunday is good!!
Posted by cats_n_cheese on 5/12/2013 7:33 AM (GMT-04:00)
It's Mother's Day for you guys! Ours was back in March :) last night we were at the local for the landlady's 50th birthday party :) was pretty messy as it was a Dolly Parton theme lol!! I didn't dress up, but it was hilarious with the guys!!! Rammstein doesn't look on this summer, certainly with the Download fest, but if they did some indoor gigs... ;) I'm also waiting for local Cure gigs, they've not done a tour that includes the uk for a long time :( here's hoping for local gigs for both of us!!
Posted by cats_n_cheese on 5/11/2013 7:29 PM (GMT-04:00)
I'm good thanks! Everything is good here :) How's your good self?
Posted by DN2Patricia on 5/9/2013 4:19 PM (GMT-04:00)
Not any nearer for you but at least the choice is improving, I've heard about this festival before, a national radio station here has broadcast from there the last couple of years, sounds great, and you won't be sitting in a muddy field, hot most of the year no? Oooo decisions decisions...

Hurrah!
Posted by DN2Patricia on 5/7/2013 6:23 PM (GMT-04:00)
Yep still plan to visit San Francisco, deposit is paid so saving the rest now.. I have no hope at all that they will be playing when we are on our holi,I'm not that lucky! 70 degrees.. it hardly reaches that in the summer never mind spring,autumn/fall is the best season here, well for me anyway! not warm really but usually dry. Let me know how the job hunting goes.
Posted by DN2Patricia on 5/6/2013 3:00 PM (GMT-04:00)
Hope you get that new job, sometimes only a change will do!Lovely day here, the only really sunny day so far this year, park, picnic and watching people surfing/sailing, better than work that's for sure! I'm losing all hope of any more dates , although I think you'll be lucky your side of the world, they need to give us something to look forward to. Anyway hope you had a good weekend, extra holiday here today so back to work tomorrow, got to earn money sometime, those concert tickets gotta be paid for! Hopefully...

Posted by DN2Patricia on 4/27/2013 11:09 AM (GMT-04:00)
Dry the River have been doing the folk circuit for a while now, but they are some bad ass folk band as my friend says!, what do you think?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5g-DeG0MJc, chambers and the valves is also a good vid, something like The Cure would have done at one time, I think anyway! Have a great wkend.

I actually could've gotten rid of it...you can change the name of the person picking up tix. Just figured this out. I'm GOING! I just booked my room, so there is no stopping me now;) I'm used to serving vips, so it will be kind of fun and stuff to turnb the tables;) I hope! No luck with buying KM KM KM, said I should have got out of bed a few hours earlier, cheeky sod! Did get a copy of The Glove though, which I have never owned, and is impossible to buy new here in any format, but I was really happy to have a signed copy of a Dry The River track, only 500 released. I know they aren't exactly popular, but they will be, I for one love them!! Have a great week.

I really think some US Cure Shows will be announced..I just fucked up:(
Posted by DN2Patricia on 4/19/2013 2:04 PM (GMT-04:00)
Bad luck about Chicago, still time for something better to be announced though, don't jump in the water yet! Got my little list ready for tomorrow's record store day, bit worried my local store is not showing up in the list of those taking part though!!They say they are and did last year so fingers crossed.
Posted by Glimmer on 4/15/2013 1:36 AM (GMT-04:00)
I'd love to go to Mexico for RS Bday, but i guess i will wait and see what develops as far as US:)
Posted by Glimmer on 4/12/2013 1:42 AM (GMT-04:00)
that we should wait and see what dates he announces. There's sure to be more:) !!!
Posted by DN2Patricia on 4/8/2013 7:28 PM (GMT-04:00)
I did win some money, they paid out for the first 5 over the finish, about $15 whoo hoo, spend it at the cinema I think! Spring trying to show itself, still pretty cold but sunny, so all good. Also spentsome of the weekend cleaning, whilst having a vinyl revival day, good music, but a pain having to stop and put new records on, thank god for the ipod doc! Hope it's not too busy in work, have a great week.

Just stopping by to say HI PRETTY:) So hi:)
Posted by DN2Patricia on 4/7/2013 9:09 AM (GMT-04:00)
If tickets not selling too quickly you could wait a little while to decide, what are the other bands like? worth seeing? There was a big horse racing thing on here yesterday, lots of people bet just for fun, including me, I picked Rare Bob, if he won I thought it might be a good sign, LOL, came 5th out of 40, what do reckon , a sighting of RS just as rare I think. In a recent interview he said this Cure line up are going to record an album, so if we wait for that to be made and then a tour to promote that we're talking flipping ages!

:)
Posted by DN2Patricia on 4/5/2013 6:47 PM (GMT-04:00)
Thinking about Chicago? better than swimming to Montreal,LOL, but still festivals, mud, portaloos, hours waiting for them to appear..but at least you would see them. I'm beginning to regret not going to Reading, I'm starting to think this is the only way to see them at the moment, all hope of a Cure only gig rapidly fading for this year, in fact I don't think they'll be playing anywhere near me, woe is me!! Perhaps they'll put us out our misery soon..have a great weekend.
Posted by Glimmer on 3/26/2013 3:06 AM (GMT-04:00)
Just a quick hidey ho to two of my fave posters..+ Fkn Aurora Babe:) Y'all rock:) XOXOX
Posted by DN2Patricia on 3/21/2013 7:32 PM (GMT-04:00)
KM KM KM is being released on red vinyl for record store day, plus lots of other stuff, Soundgarden, Nirvana, The Black keys,I could spend a small fortune if my local store gets much in, I 've already been in dropping hints!! Lots of stuff on CD as well but not The Cure or The Glove, not listed anyway. Might be worth a look.
Posted by cats_n_cheese on 3/17/2013 5:24 PM (GMT-04:00)
If I can get a day ticket I'll let you know :-) I also don't know what I'd say to people like that...!!
Posted by cats_n_cheese on 3/17/2013 5:41 AM (GMT-04:00)
We saw them last year in Nottingham, got great seats really close to the stage. They were fantastic. I'm curious how they'll be at an open air gig as opposed to what was essentially an ice hockey stadium lol! And SOOOO jealous you got to hang out with them!!
Posted by cats_n_cheese on 3/16/2013 6:15 AM (GMT-04:00)
I know for sure (and care about seeing!) is Rammstein this year!! I'd happily stand in mud to see Richard Kruspe ;-)
Posted by leahcl on 3/15/2013 6:59 AM (GMT-04:00)
The Right Stuff! I used to love that song! Actually still do. In the video the lead singer whatever his name is looked my my first boyfriend! :) hope all's good in your world.
Posted by cats_n_cheese on 3/15/2013 5:45 AM (GMT-04:00)
They've never been good at getting around everyone. As soon as they announce a couple of concerts or festivals, someone somewhere grumbles! Even when all those South American dates were announced, because they couldn't get to all the countries there, there were complaints. Hey ho! But no festivals for me, I'm even umming and arring about going to Download this year, and that's relatively close lol!!
Posted by cats_n_cheese on 3/14/2013 5:17 AM (GMT-04:00)
I hope you get some shows!! They're moving northwards by the sounds of it!! And pancakes... I am jealous lol! I did have a naughty mc d's breakfast the other week, and had pancakes & syrup, but I doubt it was as good ;-)
Posted by DN2Patricia on 3/12/2013 6:53 PM (GMT-04:00)
OMG I'm getting a good feeling I think there may be a show near you soon, hopefully some here to, fingers crossed!!
Posted by DN2Patricia on 3/10/2013 7:30 PM (GMT-04:00)
I don't work set days, sometimes only 1 then a day off, I do work fairly long days though, 700 until 1930, sometimes later if busy, but its fine cos I'm used to it, and by working long days I get more days off!! Yay for time off, last of my annual leave for this year next week, so with time off and holiday no work for 11 days after thursday ,always busy this time of year so the day goes really quickly and I work with nice people, that always helps!! I think its funny some people think the lullabys sound like the originals although I think Miss Arrow may change her mind if she listens to them sober, or maybe she's right have a few drinks first then play them, maybe that's where I'm going wrong..hope your feeling better.
Posted by DN2Patricia on 3/8/2013 4:50 PM (GMT-04:00)
Day off over although not so tired today,I wonder whose getting the royalties from those lullabys, I imagine RS would rather they didn't use them, if he even knows about them, anyway hope you've got more days off if you are not well,I'm in work until nxt thursday now,so no lullabys required!!
Posted by DN2Patricia on 3/7/2013 1:51 PM (GMT-04:00)
Hi,day off today so I'm wide awake!! spent plenty of time staring at RS and Simon myself but never caught there attention like that, nevermind I can dream!! Listened to Metallic and some Queen I can't believe people really buy them for their little ones, just awful for the most part and Metallic sounds a bit creepy.I sent my friends the xmas twisted sister album for their girls aged 4 and 7 and they loved it, but not these, just play originals if they like music. Not sure anyone else here would have listened to these, I had a cookie from music site saying you seem to like alternative music try these?? thought I'd share with you as you'd prob think they were funny, ask if you'll like, I'll own up to listening to them so nobody will think you'r having a funny 5 minutes.LOL
Posted by DN2Patricia on 3/5/2013 5:43 PM (GMT-04:00)
I truly am so tired I just posted my reply to you on my page! how is that even possible?
Posted by DN2Patricia on 3/5/2013 5:37 PM (GMT-04:00)
$1000, OMG that's ridiculous, as much as I love them, noooo, I thought our tickets were expensive enough but nothing compared to that! Haven't listened to Journey tracks, will do later in the week, when I'm not so tired- no joke intended- Lithium just sounds like a load of bells ringing, anyway hoping we'll have some news soon and neither of us has to travel too far, and we have the best tickets with back stage passes, oops that Lithium track really has got me dreaming! Have a good week!!
Posted by DN2Patricia on 3/4/2013 5:40 PM (GMT-04:00)
I think this is one of the links, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmalcz5nZpg, but there are loads on you tube mostly awful, Nirvana in particular, I don't know who would give permission for these I can't imagine the bands would be too happy!! Anyway as for holidays deposit paid for Nov, fingers crossed I don't miss anything last time we went away The Cure announced and sold out the reflections show, I tortured the poor man at the box office every day to let me know about any returns and after 2 weeks finally got tickets, doubt anyone returned them though, I mean who would!!! Happy listening LOL.
Posted by DN2Patricia on 3/3/2013 2:01 PM (GMT-04:00)
Don't know if you have heard of this, a collection of lullabys, rockabye baby album's, covering Cure tracks and lots of bands, Nirvana, Pearl Jam,its hard to guess the song they sound so similar, and they've totally ripped off the Wish album cover. If you've got 5 mins to listen see what you think!
Posted by Glimmer on 2/22/2013 11:38 PM (GMT-04:00)
I missed your message;) xo

Posted by DN2Patricia on 2/17/2013 6:53 PM (GMT-04:00)
Between us we have been lucky enough to visit NYC, Boston and the three of us were in Chicago 2011,birthday girls pic though, so San Francisco is looking likely. No boyfriends allowed though, shopping and sightseeing the order of the day.I know the flights will keep going up, so they are right about booking,I just want to wait a bit though, they think I'm joking, lucky I like them so much!! LOL
Posted by cats_n_cheese on 2/16/2013 8:05 PM (GMT-04:00)
The cats and cheese name came about when I was looking for a username, I'd had wine, and thought, "cats like cheese (cure demo) is pretty cool, I'll just change it a bit..." Then, we were at a cure concert at the O2 and they played Lovecats, and Robert sang "so wonderfully wonderfully wonderfully wonderfully cheesy" instead of the normal lyrics! I was so happy lol!!
