I got my tattoo because of an incident. One day I was helping my brother get his luggage together. I was walking down the stairs when a cat went around my ankles. I could not see because of the bagss I was holding. I tripped and hit my head. I forgot who I was for 3 weeks! Once I regained my full memory (not as sharp as it used to be) I was really pissed that I had forgottonwho The Cure, Depeche Mode, and The Beatles were! I even did not remember saying the word 'meep'. So my wrist has all those bands/word tattooed on it.
My Tattoo tale... When I was a mere snip of a lad..a little thinner than I am now not that I am too fat..maybe a little but then hey I digress. I used to wear plain black t shirts and on the left breast I used a pen to bleach The Cure on. Being a bit mad and easily influenced I though would'nt it be funny if when I removed my shirt The Cure was still written their. So in 1987 while the band name was very sharp and precise I went to quite a poor Tattooist and I think the shop boy was given my chest to play with, he did the deed and once it had stopped scabbing It deveploped that may Tattoo was not so sharp and precise bugger. Bit of disapointment crept in. Mind you The Cure came to my rescue a few years later when they softened the lettering and distorted their positioning, not that I have ever felt regret for having my tattoo but my tattoo was no longer as poor as it had been. While playing football wearing my black tshirt with The Cure on its chest I stripped to reveal my tattoo to the amazement of my mates. Interestingly enough although I am a big fan of many bands and Musicians I have not been influenced to have any other band names Tattooed on my person. A woman once influenced me to get another tattoo (not her name)but as it is she has not lasted the lest of time unlike The Cure who are still their for me as ever.......
That looks cool! Nice lettering.
